Green Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Woodstock

I like this place. It's not perfect, but it's no small wonder. This is run by the same person who ran my favorite Chinese place growing up as his second restaurant. Some of the food isn't as good despite having essentially the same menu ( and online ordering). Suggestions: Don't go for anything you'd normally get from a Chinese restaurant, like Genral Tso's or something. Try the Sesame Chicken, it's different from other places in the best way. Try the Empress Chicken, the Almond Chicken Breast, the Chicken Almond Ding, the Pineapple Chicken, the Beef Almond Ding, the Sesame Beef, the Singapore Fried Rice Noodles. The pot stickers are pretty good too, as is pretty much everything this menu shares with his first venture: Green Jade (in Elgin, IL).

This restaurant has horrible food! the chicken in the chicken fried rice was all dark, I'm not even sure if it was chicken, the bbq pork didn't even have the BBQ sauce on it like most places do and it was as hard as a rock. the pepper steak tasted like it was all reheated. this was disgusting, the only few people that made any good reviews must be family to the owners. do your self a favor if you have a craving for Chinese food and are looking at this restaurant online right now, Google Wal-Mart near me, go to the frozen section, and pick up your favorite Chinese entree. you will be much happier with...

In my experience i think that this place is by far the worst Chinese food I've had. Unfortunately this is the only Chinese restaurant in Woodstock that I've found. The inside is like it was decorated by a drunk golden girl. The egg rools were really hot and dripping with oil. The orange chicken made me sick and I threw away 2/3 of it. I had the shrimp fried rice and at first it was good. I then noticed th at almost every shrimp had a black line running from head to tail. That's their intestine filled with poop.
