Ortmann's Red Iron Tavern — Restaurant in Woodstock

This is the best bar to go to in downtown Woodstock, the atmosphere is so incredible it’s cozy, it’s welcoming, it’s fun! The outdoor heating under the awning was amazing. I recently had my wedding here and the owners went above and beyond to make sure my day was perfect! They are such kind and considerate people and helped us out so so much! Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to work with. Tammy was so sweet and caring and even took some pictures for us during setup! Ryan was just the absolute best seriously so helpful easy to communicate with and just ready for anything I asked him. The staff they have are all also super friendly and willing to help me out with anything I needed. They were just on it the whole night! Wasn’t stressed at all!

Best beer garden in town!! Okay, okay, it's the only beer garden in town... but they really are the best. Great service, terrific atmosphere, and always friendly faces to see.

Great place to go for an after work beverage in the sun, or swing by during the summer weekends to enjoy a band in the dog friendly beer garden and the occasional food truck.

In the fall and winter, they offer a heated patio and outdoor woodburning fire pits.

I don't believe they serve food (maybe pizza that were frozen), but you can bring your own food in. But if you want a nice little dessert, the jameson pistachio pudding shots are phenomenal!

We went to Woodstock to do the groundhog festivities, and also scout the city for a great place to watch the Super Bowl. This place was awesome on the scout day as well as the Super Bowl. Saturday they had a packed house with a bean bag tourney, and Sunday was a much lesser crowd for the Super Bowl. All kinds of tasty beer on tap, pizza was delish and the bottled beer was ice cold. Clean bathrooms to boot!!!

Ryan was an awesome bartender and I have to apologize for getting OUT of hand after consuming way too many Crown and cokes (post Super Bowl). Total blackout after the Super Bowl ended, but still an AMAZING evening from what I...
