In all fairness, this is not the only Starbucks I frequent, but like many I’ve spoken to, we very much appreciate the relaxed and cheerful atmosphere of the staff. While Ethereal attempts to attract an upscale clientele and advisedly does a fine job, although many us who are not drinkers have noticed ethical concerns with pushing alcohol on young ones at their bar below and on Friday evenings on the main level, the quality of their fare is better than average.
However this Starbucks does a volume that rivals most locations in Chicago. Despite the heavy business the place is kept extremely clean, is well lit and extremely diverse and friendly. it is we lit and comfortable and you never feel rushed.
Many of us, especially appreciate Alexa and her well trained and friendly staff, who are friendly, bright, culturally respectful and just plain nice people. I do think their Cold Brew Coffee is the best I’ve had. I like their bottled waters and upscale canned sodas. I also enjoy their diverse music thst appears to be played at a volume that is perfect.
There are some intangibles at this location that are appealing. The management trains well, and research does show people learn best by example. Even when tired, they try had to serve. They’re quick to make things right if someone is unhappy or simply having a bad day, without being asked. it’s as though, they genuinely appreciate your business and enjoy helping others.
I know Alexa has worked for Starbucks over ten years and will never not emphasize the positive. It appears that many feel the same way.
The morning is the quickest on the Square, which can be important when you need to catch a train.
This place is pleasant. The workers try. The management team is really good, and let’s face it, Staebuck’s in about as America as it gets. Also there are few corporations that offer such a generous health insurance and college assistance package as they do.
I hope som day they’ll have more herbal options even if it’s a simple herbal tea bag. Also their packaging has been outstanding. Many of the people on the Square tell me how they come there just for the plastic cups which they use at home, as I do…LOL. While amusing, it’s ingenious. All day I’m reminded of...
Read moreDeserves zero stars. This location sucks!!! Worst experience EVER at Starbucks today. Ordered a caramel macchiato and was given a cup of oat milk when I ordered it with coconut milk, and there was another drink that was missing something when I brought it to the attention of staff there was just no customer service at all never communicated with me the drink was taken forever when I asked him about it. He gave me this little girl attitude. Then when I was walking out, I looked at him to look at his name tag to get his name. When I walked past him he told me I could take a picture of him, if I want. Is he stupid? Why would he talk to a customer like that? He clearly is very immature and is doing a terrible job of representing Starbucks. his name is “Kaya” . And all the drinks took FOREVER. Also the older lady worked here was also very rude. All around terrible customer...
Read moreI went through here while taking care of some paper work and had an amazing experience with customer service from a gentleman named David!
He was polite and pacient with me. I told him that I wanted an acai drink and he informed me that it was pretty sweet with a certain kind of milk. Ultimately i assumed it would be fine because I like sweet things but long behold, it was MUCH TO SWEET!
I apologized and he was very patient and essentially whipped me up a version of the drink with a different type of milk and it was DELICIOUS! He even came back to my table and wrote down on a sticky note the exact receipe.
David is the kind of guy that will brighten up anything he decides to be a part of and I am super greatful to have had him as my barista!
