BYOB. Bring your own Bowl. At the end of a pleasant meal, with a charming server named Renee, we then opted to get ice cream. (To be clear, Renee was excellent throughout the evening and nothing in this review is directed at her). My nephew has a beard so he doesn't like to eat ice cream from a cone. So, he asked a lady behind the counter if he may have a bowl. She said No. Thinking it was a quantity control issue - he said - ok - may I have a cone and just a small bowl? Incredulously , she said No. (Wait? What?). So, my nephew said - oh ok - may I have a cone then. There were a stack of small bowls by the machine - so I grabbed one for him. My nephew thanked the lady and explained it's hard to eat a cone because of the beard - so thank you. We did not even pretend that we would be successful in asking for a spoon- so he used my teaspoon. He scooped the ice cream in the bowl. All of us were stunned at that interaction. But, we moved on and enjoyed our ice cream. Evidently, the lady behind the counter did not move on, and must have gone and tattled. All of a sudden a woman with dark hair, the manager, (identified as Argie) shows up at our table and says - those bowls are for salsa, not ice cream - don't do that again. We explained oh - we were not trying to get more ice cream- he just has a beard and needed the bowl so he could eat it. She said well, those bowls are for salsa and that is not allowed. I said - well it actually saves money if he - in mid sentence she turns around and starts to walk off. I asked - you are not walking away while we are talking are you? She came back. I said I am just surprised because it will actually save you money if he just got a bowl and not a cone (they already do the cones for you so it's not like you could over fill a bowl). The manager genuinely said she doesn't care - it's free ice cream and she gets this all the time and those bowls are for salsa. (Get that? She would rather pay for extra cones than let you use a bowl). She then said she is tired of dealing with this and will just remove the machine. (Her logic is she would rather remove the ice cream machine rather than let a customer use a bowl). I told her fear not - because I will never return. She says - good - glad to hear it. And walks off. We finished and left. I wondered, did that really happen? How can two people be so unhappy with their job that they have lost the art of customer service? I wondered if I was over reacting - so I asked my 85 year old mom who was there - because her value system is beyond reproach. My mom said - No - she was unreasonable and rude. As we got up to leave, a couple nearby stopped me and expressed their surprise at the manager's conduct and thought that she was incredibly rude. This couple must come here often - because they told me of another instance where the manager was rude to their family before. I have never left a review before - other than when a clerk has asked me to when handing my receipt to me to let the company know what a good job they did. I leave this review - hoping this manager will ask herself if she exercised customer service to any degree. My hope is she will. In the meantime, if you go and wish to have a bowl for something other than salsa -...

The servers aren't required to wear masks and get in your space. They weren't friendly at all and the food was horrible. Taco Bell tastes better than what we were served. Cheese enchilada dinner plate that was very small with child size portions. Shrimp bruschetta, that should by baked or preferably grilled was deep fried. Yes, deep fried. It was disgusting and grease was dripping from it. It was overcooked and the bacon was burned and very hard. The jalapeno hadn't been cooked at all and was room temp plus seeds weren't removed. After peeling off burnt bacon and removing jalapenos the shrimp was eatable. The extremely small amount of rice and guacamole tasted like they came from a package or can. We haven't eaten out in almost 2 years. We have been vaccinated and thought we deserved a treat. The first time we went everything was great. New owner maybe? We couldn't have been more disappointed on our first date in almost 2 years. I do not recommend this place. They have no safety measures at all regarding COVID-19/Delta The wait staff was rude. The main 'waitress' acted like we were bothering her the two times she came to the table and we said we didn't need anything. Food was disgusting and mostly left on plates. Then at 6 pm they started counting their registers. My husband waited 12 minutes before he could pay $50 for food left on the table. Do better!!...

July 6, 2025 Went for our first time and never again. What they call chips/salsa, the salsa wasn’t that at all! It was nasty cheap tomato sauce, nothing else in it. Tasted so bad we all tried to make it better with salt and pepper! Still horrible. I ordered shrimp quesadillas, they were supposed to come with onions and bell peppers inside the tortilla and all it had was shrimp and cheese. Also the menu stated it came with guacamole, pico and sour cream and a side of charra beans. The waitress asked if I wanted the beans, I told her no. My order came and I didn’t get the grilled onions and bell peppers inside my quesadilla. I didn’t get the guacamole, pico or sour cream. My tortilla only had shrimp and cheese. Yes, I asked where was everything else that the menu stated would come with it, and was told it doesn’t come with any of that! Well it still shows on the menu that it does! Bland food and horrible service. There was five in our group and most of us didn’t eat much on our plates. Would never...

I wanted it to be good so bad, but unfortunately, nope. 1st, the water cup has a crack that mold is growing in, and they think that's OK. 2nd, the jalapeño poppers worse than jack in the box poppers. The ranch was spoiled when I told the waitress she said no, it's not it just has a bad taste. Nobody likes it, but the owner does... wow! And lastly, the cheese on my "Mexican food" tasted like I was eating a grilled cheese sandwich.... I'll try this place again just to make sure they weren't having an off night. Oh, and lastly, when you walk in, you're not sure if you're in a fast food restaurant, a sit down, and be served restaurant or prison.

Little place in Woodville, blink and you'll miss it. GREAT margaritas on the rocks. The queso is reminiscent of Casa Ole's, and is SO good when dipped into the red sauce. We shared a beef fajita nacho, and I'm very glad we did. It was large, pretty, and delicious, with plenty of their yummy guac, sour cream, shredded cheese, tomatoes, and jalapenos on top of good crispy chips and generous steak fajita, with more cheese melted between the layers. Next time, we'll try the dinners but left full, completely satisfied, and very happy. Prices were great! All that with the two large ritas was barely $20. Awesome service too!

Good Mexican restaurant in the middle of Big Thicket preserve. Great option to dine in. Their menu had a good variety of options and the food is great. The wait was not long, the waitress was friendly and helped us decide what to order. Good portions and food was great. They have plenty of parking. You can get drinks for cheap, including beer and liquor. Their margaritas were not the greatest but still a good option to dine in.
