tried it a few times... first time we got to-go and I thought it was just ok, that sometimes happens when you get food to go. They put our garlic bread in foil so when we unwrapped it all the cheese came off with the foil. Second time we sat down to eat. Our waitress was unbelievably rude! she was so busy trying to clean so she could go home (even though they didn't close for 1.5 hours). I got the shrimp scampi and my boyfriend got the spaghetti works. He said his was ok but mine tasted like the sauce was made from lemons and water. Now, I have had scampi at different places and also made it myself, I do understand there are lemons in it and I will eat lemons straight, but it was GROSS! I ate two bites of it and stopped. The waitress didn't ask how our food was and when I finally told her I didn't like mine because it was sour and too lemony she responded with "well it IS made with lots of lemons, it's shrimp scampi". I was completely blind sided by her lack of customer service. Anytime I haven't liked something at another place they have always offered to make me something different, which I would have been fine with. She didn't offer to have anything else made for me or to get a manager for me. She then brought us our bill and still charged me for the meal I didn't eat. I was beyond furious and just wanted out of the restaurant. I called the manager right after we left and he did offer to make it right the next time we came back...which we will not be doing ever again so I guess I am just out of luck. The only other thing he said was that I should have asked to speak to him while we were there, which I agree with, but the waitress made me feel so uncomfortable I honestly didn't dare ask for a manager. I was so embarrassed by her behavior I just wanted to leave. I have never been treated that way in my life and did not really know how to respond to that sort of behavior, especially from someone who is supposed to provide customer service. Don't waste your time...

This small town, unpretentious, laid-back little restaurant, with no big fancy signs or chaotic lunch-time rush, was highly recommended on my visit to Woodward, Oklahoma. Actually, several of the locals said it’s the best place to eat in town, but in my opinion it’s probably the best in the whole state. I’ve never had a fatter tastier ravioli in my life. They were stuffed so full of dense rich lobster and shrimp I could only eat 4, but I’d eat them for every meal, everyday, if I lived nearby. Woodward is really the last place I expected to find world-class authentic Italian cuisine since my other 3 dinners here were very average Tex-Mex. On my next trip, Diarti’s will be the only place I eat. I’ll definitely look forward to seeing their front of house MVP, Miss Italy, next time. Yes, her real name is Italy, and she is the most genuinely charming server I have ever encountered in a restaurant. She was so outgoing it felt like I’d known her for years and she happily posed for a selfie with me. I could have stayed to chat with her all afternoon. I was not a bit surprised to learn she had won the award for Woodward’s server of the year. I’m giving this review all the stars I’m allowed, but Diarti’s deserves way beyond the max in every category. Go eat at Diarti’s before you go...

I should have never walked in. On the way in I was nearly ran over by the people mowing, they attempted to cover me in grass clippings. I should have turned around and left. The waitress was friendly... so the review is no fault of hers. The salad arrived and was swimming in dressing.... when I finished there was more than enough dressing left for several salads, it was off putting. I ordered the spaghetti.... what came out was over cooked with a hint of burnt. It truly tasted like something that was reheated and then served. Nothing about it seemed freshly made. I was unable to finish it. All that would be bad enough, but it's made me ill.

I won't be back. I've been before, and while it wasn't great, it was at least acceptable. Woodward doesn't have an abundance of options... sometimes acceptable is good enough, this wasn't even that.

You're kidding, right? You served me what was basically leftovers and possibly reheated in a microwave...... and gave me food poisoning...... and think I'll return to give you another chance? You're...

You could tell right away. The food here is made with love. From the outside in appearances can be deceiving. But the inside is definitely a nice atmosphere with soft classic Italian music, even heard some tunes I recognized from Ratatouille. The food was delicious, the bread was very soft but with that perfect amount of crunch. The pizza I ordered for after and it's honestly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. And not too long ago I had the chicago deep dish pizza from the restaurant it was famous for in chicago and have tried the famous New York style pizza in New York too. Honestly. That pizza met or just exceeded the deep dish pizza I had. It was that good. The owner is a veteran who served in Iraq and I had gotten a military discount. For everything I had, with a water to drink. Only cost me $44 (granted, with a discount I neglected to check). But everyone i talked too inside was very nice. I highly recommend this place to anyone willing to give it a chance. If I was staying in the area longer I would try more.

Hidden Gem in a Small Town When locals insist you visit a place, it's usually worth the trip! Diarti Italian Cafe is truly a hidden gem you'd never find without a recommendation. The Chicken Marsala was absolutely amazing - tender chicken with perfectly sautƩed mushrooms in a rich, flavorful sauce served over pasta. What made the experience special was the incredible small-town hospitality. The staff, especially my waitress Italy, provided phenomenal service with friendly conversation and genuine care about my dining experience. Everyone checked to make sure I was enjoying my meal. To cap off a perfect dinner, I tried their Italian cream cake paired with a glass of wine - absolute perfection! If you find yourself in Woodward, this unassuming spot is definitely worth seeking out. Scottsdale AZ
