Aaah, King Ranch Chicken. Wow. Sounded so wonderful, if I'dve wanted a cheap burrito I'dve ordered from a Mexican place, but ohhh, King Ranch chicken. How could I resist. I was so excited. The worst meal I have ever had in Waco. Worst. THIS is not King Ranch chicken, it's a horizontal cheap, and quite nasty burrito. I ordered it on Grubhub and it was NOT CHEAP. It consisted of tortillas just thrown in there, not even ever warmed and a mystery sauce and chunks unknown in a gravy not a sauce. An occasional piece of chicken. I don't see how they can call themselves a restaurant. The salad was from HEB stuffed into a container. The roll, which is 75cents extra making you think it's homemade, isn't, it's just a squashed bun for extra money. DO not order from these people, this was bad. I can't even give them anything over one star, just the WORST. Nasty food. EXPENSIVE and believe me, terrible. Wanna waste $35 go order their King Ranch...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible place! If you would like to get box dinners sold to you at a high price, this is the place to go. There are no dates, so no one knows when the food was made. There are no price tags because if you see the prices, you will definitely opt out of buying their stuff. I wanted to give this place a try, paid $64 for three dishes, and had to throw everything away. The stuffed bell peppers were spoilt. My husband had pot roast, and it made his stomach hurt. Scallop potatoes tasted horrible because they were made of artificial stuff. Not a single real ingredient on the sticker or inside. Most of their food options follow box dinner variety you can find at any store for less than a dollar. I can't believe businesses like that have regular customers and manage to deceive people on a constant basis. Please don't let them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy dad is in his 80's and buys most of his prepared meals from HEB and Secret Chef. His short term memory, due to a couple of accidents resulting in a traumatic brain injury, coupled with his age, is not the best. My sister and I were cleaning out his refrigerator (to get rid of the old food) and we noticed that NONE of the Secret Chef items were dated with a prepared/use by date. NONE. That is just INSANITY. A reputable company would want to do anything to keep their consumers safe and realize they are selling to a variety of patrons with different needs. We threw everything out....who knows how many dollars he wasted that week. NO FOOD should be sold without a prepared/use by date. NONE!! I honestly don't know how they get...
