Gave the food a 3 because our order was all messed up but the fries were ok. The service is awful all around. My boyfriend and I drove 38 min (ordered online) to come get our food. We got there five min before it was ready and waited. Once it was ready he went inside was told “your order is all set” and we left. We then quickly realized two of our sandwiches were missing. My boyfriend went back inside and let them know what was missing from our order. They said “door dash had a second page that they didn’t check” ( so be mindful when door dashing they do not check for multiple pages) the women at the counter read word for word the order to the guy who was making the sandwich's. A couple min later the guy making the sandwiches handed them over and said they were all set. We drove the 38-45 min home. We were so excited and realize my sandwich (pilgrim) was missing cranberry sauce and his bacon that he paid extra for was not on the sandwich or on the side either. It was very disappointing. Even though we can of course do a charge back I wanted to call in to make them aware that still after messing up the order once, the second time wasn’t correct either. The First Lady who answered I explained this to, she then asked the gentleman who made the sandwiches what happened, he implied that simply it was not true and that the sauce and bacon was put in the bag on the side. Once I had confirmed for the third time that is not the case I was put on hold to talk to the manager. The manager answered and for the second time I explained to her exactly as I did the first time. She then asked the gentleman what happened and he said the sauce was put in the bag on the side and the bacon 100% was on the sandwich. I of course was upset because now the story is changing with exactly what had happened. Being charged for these items and then traveling for the experience, this was such a let down. Not once did I receive an apology until I said I was disappointed with the phone call and I felt very unheard and as if no one cared. It felt like it was a lot of childish back and forth of he said she said with saying “well he said this” “well he said it’s there” To be fair I’m not calling to hear what he has to say, I am calling as a customer who spent a decent amount of money and traveled a decent ways to have a nice experience. An apology and acknowledging the disappointment in services would have been nice, but it is not what I received. I am completely understanding to things happening but when you talk to people who sound like they could care less and rush your order out to you with out making sure it’s done right, isn’t ok. I will not return to this place again due to this experience and it’s sad because with the reviews on DD for the sandwich I got seemed very...
Read moreUsually J's is very good but it definitely wasn't on my last visit. I got the skipper and a steak and cheese eggroll. The skipper is fried cod with extra melt sharp American cheese, lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce. This was absolutely horrendous. It was beyond obvious that the cod was pre made, battered and frozen like the kind you can buy at a grocery store but worse. Gortons brand even blows this one out of the water. This sandwich had way too much cheese and tartar sauce which leads me to the worse part of the sandwich, the tartar sauce. It was disgustingly sweet like it had been made with sweetened condensed milk. J's should never attempt a fish sandwich again, you can get much better at a fast food restaurant for half of the price. The skipper is most certainly a skipper in my book.
I also had one steak and cheese eggroll at a whopping $3.49. It was actually in a spring roll wrapper so I'm not sure why they're trying to pass it off as an eggroll. It was way below average, small and mostly cheese with barely any steak. An easy waste of money.
They have a big menu online but only about 1/4 of the menu is displayed at this location. They also have the world's smallest selection of Pepsi products. A good amount of Coke products though. My last visit was beyond disappointing and a big shocker coming from J's. I think I'll stay away from this...
Read morePretty upset. I asked the other day if they would be open on Christmas Eve and I was told “yes”, no mention of closing early. I checked everywhere I possibly could online to see if they posted anything about their hours today and couldn’t find anything mentioning reduced hours. I had fully planned on doing dinner thru J’s as it is my favorite place and I literally drive out of my way by 30 minutes to go there. Imagine my surprise when I call and am told they stopped making food at 4pm. This has unfortunately ruined my Christmas Eve plans. Understandably this is not any one person’s fault per se, but I just wish the location had been more pragmatic about listing their holiday hours online either via their website, Google, social media, etc… It also didn’t help that I wasn’t given the specific hours instead of simply being told “yes” when I asked the other day about them being open today, if I had I would have planned accordingly. Very unfortunate and has certainly been quite a let down on...
