New Hong Kong Restaurant — Restaurant in Woonsocket

This used to be our favorite Chinese restaurant even though it's out of our way and trying to understand the majority of people who answered the phones for take-out orders was horrible, the food was tasty, not spectacular but good, portions incredible and the prices were great. However, this time,, we ordered our normal, routine order (no changes at all) and it had gone up $22.00. That is ridiculous and now we won't be going there anymore! Price increases are the norm lately but $22.00 for the exact same thing as a couple months ago? And the portions weren't the same. Definitely smaller. Won't be surprised if they go out of business too and they will have done it...

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I'll never go back! Staff was friendly and food came out fast. But the food was terrible. Had the vegetable lo mein which had literally 4 scraps of onions and no other vegetables. The general gau chicken was like bubble gum. I could chew it for hours. It was over cooked, over fried, and absolutely disgusting. Crab Rangoons and egg rolls were decent. The dumplings tasted OK but the shell was over an inch thick so it was gummy. WARNING: Unless you wanna legit flush your money down the toilet......Do NOT eat here, hands down the worst food ever. The eggs rolls were so hard it was impossible to bite into them. The boneless chicken batter was very greasy and the chicken was dry, tasted like wood (maybe, it was your kitty cat or maybe refied several times) the boneless ribs were fatty, the pork fried rice had an after taste, and lastly the grab Rangoon was sour., legit made me throw up.
