This past Thursday evening I had the opportunity to try a new place in the Summit area of North Worcester. I had heard that there was a new Korean restaurant open at the little office complex next to Bushel N Peck, so being hungry and in the area, I headed over to try this increasingly popular restaurant. Despite knowing where it was located, I found Choose and Mix Korean Food easy to miss as the glass storefronts are hidden behind parked cars. It can be difficult tell where one establishment begins and the other ends but keep looking and you will find it.
This was my first time eating at a Korean restaurant so I was excited to try out this new place that opened in April of 2017. My wife ordered the dumpling soup with shrimp and it was excellent. I ordered Bibimbap with beef and noodles. Served in a large, hot stone bowl, the Bibimbap is a mixture of either rice or noodles, your protein of choice, and vegetables of choice. It was very tasty. The restaurant staff is well prepared to coach your through the ordering process, in fact they seem to expect that you will need some assistance. This makes asking for help a lot easier.
Bottom line: If you like exploring new dining options Choose and Mix Korean Food is a fun and delicious option. The restaurant is very casual and the staff is super pleasant. It might take some effort to locate but it...
Read moreTheir foods are unbelievably soooo gawwwdd🔥🔥🔥🔥 my ultimate favorites and most reliable menus: chooseandmix specials (especially their galbi and spicy pork) and hibachi meals.. just too good to be trueeee!! Very reasonable price, i mean like come ooonnn you don’t need fancy, but you just need good foods righhhtt! For me personally, it didn’t matter to pay more money if the quality of the food is excellent. I love how they make the spicy pork is not oily (where sometimes other korean restaurants make spicy pork too oily)! Moreover, the hibachi meals (all combo meats or just single meat) are too scrumptious!! If you come, make sure to also order their dumplings, boneless, and popcorn shrimp, its... the bomb wohoo! Still maintain to get the crispiness even if you have already put the sauce on it.. dumpling steam.. omg, my most fav! Love love love! Definitely worth to tryyyyyy and see youuu...
Read moreThis is NOT a KOREAN restaurant, but, according to the cashiers, it is owned by a Chinese owner, taking advantage of the K-Food popularity. The ingredients are Not for Bibimbob, and, they do not know if their combinations makes it legit or not. Shrimp Bibimbob, with broccoli, really? Do your homework first what makes Korean Bibimbob popular.
They just exploit naive Worcester Customers who never had Korean restaurant meals in the city. We drove 40 min to think it is Korean food, with the misleading 4.7 star rating, but to find out they are takeout hole in the wall of whatever.
They should change it to be called something else, a cheap rice-something, but, they should never consider them as a Korean restaurant operation.
Shame on their misleading operation.
(Added) See how bluntly and ignorantly they respond to me. Still clueless what I am criticizing them...
