Yesterday I revisited the corner lunch I have not been there since former owner, Paul Poirier was operating the business, my friend, and I agreed by our waitress Joe Joe, pleasant smile and great service one of Worcester's dining treasures, incredibly well kept historic Diner we both had breakfast. I tried the homemade sourdough bread with the corn beef hash two eggs over light. Perfectly cooked my friend ordered a blueberry pancake with two poached, eggs, Italian toast, and the corn beef hash. I tried the pancake that was delicious truly a five-star restaurant.

My favorite Worcester diner! Skip the Miss Worcester and come here for fantastic food, great service, and a nice atmosphere. It recently changed ownership, and the new owner/chef is great. He also started recently baking his own sourdough and raisin bread and English muffins. You won't be disappointed with anything on the menu but special mention goes to the omelets and the Italian sausage.

Corner Lunch, a HIDDEN gem in Worcester! We first tried Miss Worcester Diner a few hundred feet away from it three years ago. Great experience except the forever long waiting line. We decided to give Corner Lunch a try and we are eating there every weekend since then. Great food, Great service and Great price! They also have really good deals for customers arrived before 9am.

Been going to corner lunch for a literal decade- Jojo has almost always waited on me and I loved supporting a family business. I even remember Mrs. B, and if you’re from the neighborhood you do too. Jojo is doing a good job keeping the hospitality side of things running since her fathers well deserved retirement.

The food side of things needs a lot of work. I noticed drastic quality differences in both food and preparation. The bread from the blt I ordered was greasy, over toasted to the point of being hard throughout, had two circles of tomato, little ripped up pieces of bacon, and one small smear of mayonnaise that didn’t even reach the edges of the bread. It also came out 10 minutes after my boyfriends food- meaning he was done by the time mine came out and the waitress was already anxious to flip the table- if I had been asked how my food was, I would have absolutely mentioned this, but was only asked if I wanted a box.

I don’t normally review, but new owner seems less than gracious to accept actual criticism and needs to understand that he’s cooking on an open line and everyone can see and catch his vibe from where he is working.

Sending love to Charlie, Jojo, and the members of their family who have passed on. Good luck to new dude, he has some seriously big shoes to fill if he wants business in the neighborhood that aren’t just holy cross students.

Editing to add: my review was replied to in a very solid and respectful way. I am happy to give another chance to this place. I definitely know it’s difficult to time food when it’s not all coming off the same line!! There are always growing pains and this new owner seems not only aware of them, but ready to approach and fix. Awesome stuff and I wish him and the new crew the best. I think if you keep on with this attitude and desire to do better, you will become just as loved in this neighborhood as the...

We went for breakfast on a Monday and we did not have to wait for a booth seat. The menu has classic breakfasts at reasonable prices as well as some chef specials. We got onion and mushroom omelette with spicy hash browns and homemade bread. I got the golden raisin bread and could smell it when it hit the toaster. It was just as good as it smelled. I had Theo hot sauce with the omelette and it was perfect with the hash browns. I ate the bread as a dessert. My husband got the homemade hash and and made me remember how much I love hash and that it is a perfect food. He got the pickle bread and it was perfect with the salty hash and over easy eggs. Coffee was strong and hot. We will be...

I should never have to wait 45 minutes to get breakfast. I sat here and watched 14 online orders be made and not one person in the diner had food. The people who come to the establishment should always come first. I have been coming here for 12 years and it breaks my heart that I will not be going back now that owners have changed hands.

Update. After 55 minutes and diner orders starting to finally be made I noticed that my order wasn't even on the bored. The owner just says sorry I don't have it . Never offered to even make a simple one person order and justwent about what he was doing. I left...
