Sabrosa Venezuela had a food truck at the Boston Urban Pride Music & Arts Festival on July 2, 2023. The food looked super appetizing so I ordered one Reina Pepiada Arepa and one Chicken Cachapa. I expected the portions to be smaller, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Arepa was enough for my lunch (and I have a hearty appetite), so I saved the Cachapa for later. The Arepa was delicious, flavorful, and the avocado was super fresh. I was very impressed. I brought the Cachapa home for dinner and to share with my spouse. I needed to reheat it in the microwave because it had been about 6 hours (including refrigeration). But every part of the Cachapa reheated with great flavor and was over all wonderful. It still tasted very fresh too. The Cachapa would have been more than enough for me by myself, but wasn't quite enough for dinner for two. Still, all told, both the Reina Pepiada Arepa and the Chicken Cachapa were EXCELLENT, and I think they were at a decent price point too. Now I'll be looking for this food truck whenever I'm out in the metro Boston area. AND we're also thinking of taking a trip to Worcester just so we can eat at the restaurant. Well done, Sabrosa Venezuela! And thanks for vending at Boston Urban Pride and showing up in support of the community! That was also a nice touch! PS. The food truck was also selling passion fruit juice, which I love. Because I ordered two dishes, they gave me a free sample and asked if I wanted to order a cup. Their passion fruit juice was fabulous, but I decided not to buy the juice simply because I wanted to eat my calories instead of drinking them, and I opted to drink water instead. But if you're looking for an extra treat, don't miss the passion...
Read moreThis is the real deal. This is not Mexi-cali or some other Americanized fusion on a plate. My trusted friend from Caracas helped with my order and advised this was traditional Venezuelan food. Orders can be moderately altered for dietary purposes. Service was exceptional and provided by the same people who prepare and cook this marvelous food - with a smile! Unsure? They will explain. Still unsure? Go with what you know and explore! Newbies can start with the perfectly cooked and moist Arepas, Tequeños with dipping sauce and a variety of sweet drinks (diet beverages also available). So much more to sample and try. Seating is minimal (10 -14) so have a nice meal here and explore the marketplace offerings. Everything exceeded my expectations and was given a very enthusiastic thumbs up from my Venezuelan friend. Sabrosa Venezuela clearly puts love into the making and serving of this food. As a lifelong Worcester county resident, I am proud to discover the different foods from its ânewâ immigrant heritage and will be back to try the delicious...
Read moreI got take out and everything started out better than expected. Until my girlfriend told me her sandwich was bland. But non the less we agreed that everything was pretty decent and we would give it another go. ThenâŠ.it was time for dessert. I got the caramel tees leches cake and her the Oreo one. I was so excited I opened it up and took a bite that could rival the greed of the Republican Party, And instead of a creamy delightful taste I got a like warm sour gummy feeling that made my feel like I wanted to exorcist my meal all over my sleeping cats. It was bad. Not a day or two but clearly curdled and absolutely foul. My girlfriends was perfect. Much to her disappointment We shared hers. So In the end make sure your cake doesnât look like itâs laying on a cold hard bed of...
