I cannot recommend the AC Hotel by Marriott enough—my stay was everything I hoped for and more. From the moment I arrived, I was met with exceptional service and a warm, personal touch, thanks to the incredible staff who truly made my experience unforgettable.
Zach exemplifies the best of the hospitality industry. Despite my disheveled appearance, he treated me with such kindness and respect that I immediately felt valued and welcomed. His professionalism, gentlemanly demeanor, and genuine care set the tone for my stay. He ensured that I felt pampered and cared for, adding a personal touch to the luxury experience I was seeking. Zach's remarkable manners and professionalism, particularly considering his youth, exemplify his character and the elevated standards Marriott maintains. Because of him, I know I’ll be returning to Marriott properties again and again—whether for relaxation or in times of personal difficulty.
Boa is simply the best bartender I have ever encountered. His warmth, soulfulness, and kindhearted approach made a significant impact on me. After an emotional day, I wasn’t in the mood for conversation, but Boa gently lightened the mood with a kind-hearted joke that softened me up and made me feel at ease. What followed was a meaningful and memorable conversation that left me inspired and rejuvenated.
Boa’s passion for nonprofit work, including his trips to my mother’s country to serve local communities, was incredible to hear about. From distributing reusable sanitary pads to building infrastructure, his dedication to making a difference was deeply moving. Even while juggling other guests at the bar, some of whom were less than kind, Boa treated everyone with respect and genuine kindness. His exceptional character and skill make him stand out as a bartender and as a person.
The room was exactly what I needed—luxurious and comfortable. The bed was cozy, the bathroom was exquisite (glass doors, endless hot water, luxurious-smelling toiletries), and the view was lovely. The location was perfect, allowing me to explore easily on foot or via a short Uber ride.
The hotel’s interior design deserves its own praise. The fireplace by the entrance is long and elegant, adding a refined warmth to the atmosphere. The beautifully decorated Christmas tree was a festive and tasteful touch that enhanced the hotel’s sophisticated yet inviting ambiance.
One of the highlights of my stay was waking up in the morning to find lavender pouches available for guests to carry in their pockets. This small yet thoughtful touch added to the hotel’s charm and attention to detail. I took two pouches—one for myself and another to give to someone I was meeting later that day. This simple gesture brought a sense of calm and joy, perfectly complementing the overall luxurious and healing experience.
I came to AC Hotel by Marriott to decompress and heal, and I left feeling genuinely renewed. Every detail—from the warm and attentive staff to the luxurious accommodations—was thoughtfully executed, creating an experience that exceeded my expectations. I cannot thank Zach, Boa, and the rest of the team enough for making my stay so memorable. The healing effects of this visit linger with me even now, and I look forward to...
Read moreBeware. Though this brand new hotel in downtown worcester, is fresh, clean and modern, with a nice and pleasant staff, the area is questionable. I booked a 2 night stay, but left after one night.
When I arrived at the hotel, I noticed more than one individual loitering near the entrance. The parking garage, which is not complimentary, had no visible attendant or security guard, though it is open to pedestrians. That’s important because there were homeless people and unseemly characters walking around the area. Also, there was no cell phone service in the garage! There were three of us, and none of us had cell service! Imagine a situation where you needed to call 911 but couldn’t!
While the area is clearly under redevelopement, and that’s a good thing, there were concerning individuals and homeless people in the park around the corner from the hotel. I am no whimp, I am NYC born and bred, I’ve seen alot. I can honestly say that I felt uncomfortable in the area. I did not feel comfortable enough to walk around alone to explore the area. Frankly, there isn’t much to do or see in the area. The nearby park square is dirty, grimy and inhabited by suspicious characters and homeless people. Not a pretty sight, and I’ve seen ugly in NYC!
Oh, and one more thing, the rooms are fresh and modern, but they’re DARK! With the lighting, the designers tried so hard to be cool, that they were stupid! Bring your own lamp or reading light if you want to read a book at night, or simply enjoy soft ambient light. The airplane reading lights and tiny LED sconces are barely bright enough to serve as nightlights!
I don’t mean to rip on this hotel, I rarely write reviews. I just don’t understand overlooking simple fixes; like an attendent in the garage, security personnel to walk/drive around, engagement with local leaders to clean up the park and help the homeless move on to better digs. And for God’s sake, some decent lighting in those brand new rooms! Whose idea was it to install such poor and useless lighting?! The room felt like a cave, and I’m not a bat!
I’ll end with a positive comment— nice bathrooms! Spacious, clean, modern, and GREAT lighting! Actually, I could have read my book in the bathroom. The sliding bathroom doors are practical because they don’t take up floor space in the modest sized rooms—smart and...
Read moreYour staff is great. Pleasant, patient , professional. Managements choices are making their jobs much harder than it needs to be. Simple things and design choices that make no sense. Here is my list:
Great greeting and help checking in. Parking fee is reasonable Lobby is nice, clean, modern, and inviting. Regular rooms are fine for the most part, issues with the Suite we had are the same in these rooms.
Sliding glass barn doors: a. Bathroom: no privacy whatsoever or sound insulation. What were they thinking? You can see through to the toilet through the crack between the wall and door and there is no privacy for the person using the toilet. Visual or sound.
b.Suite bedroom: when a light is turned on in the living area or bathroom, the bedroom is flooded with light. You can hear everything in the living area and there is no sound insulation. Did the designers ever stay in a hotel room?
No luggage racks, only place to unpack and our clothes was on the floor... seriously?? (benches in regular rooms served as luggage rack but then no sitting area.
Two tvs, one remote. So if one person wanted to watch tv in bed and the other stayed up, or couldn't sleep we had to share the remote. You have to be kidding me. I called down to ask for the second remote and 2 luggage racks. The very sweet, apologetic young lady at the front desk informed me neither were available because the hotel doesn't have them. She also told me she gets these requests a lot and the guests complaints all the time.
Closet. No closet, 18" clothes rack... ridiculous. no room for anything. No dresser, no place to put clothes at all. We had to put my suitcase on the cabinet in the other room in front of the door with the microwave in it and my husbands was on the floor.
8.We were in the ADA room, not needed but probably the last suite you had. That's fine... other than the shower curtain rod being hung 8" into the shower so it constantly clung to your body and you were crammed into the corner of the shower to avoid it to be able to move.
The breakfast buffet is great, nicely done. Fresh food selection, great display, the fresh prosciutto is a great addition and...
