Absolutely Adore Our public market! All vendors are real friendly & helpful. On this visit I had Fabulous Gelato from a local West Boylston based vendor (Their name slipped my mind) I was greeted by a very friendly young man who offered to sample as many as I would like which was a real pleasant gesture and, I of course accepted. I went with their Creamy Salted caramel and, a second scoop of velvety rich chocolate. I absolutely will be back! He also did let me know their West Boylston location is right by Salter College and will be opening back up in April. They offer Frozen yogurt as well as several toppings! I'll be stopping by their store too! Also, gotta mention Donut Homie! The owner is Extremely Sweet and friendly! She shared a bit of how she came into opening her location (inside of or, Next to the Hangover Pub on Green St) Since it was the middle of the afternoon, not many flavors were left. She offered me a donut to try on the house which was a real smart move on her part since the coconut donut was Absolutely Amazing! The doughnut itself reminded me of cake and, super moist! Her Frosting Too reminded me of cake Frosting...You Gotta Try These Amazing Doughnuts! I now get why there was a limited flavor selection on a Friday afternoon. Next time, I Too will definitely get there early! I believe you can place orders ahead and, pick them up at the Hangover Pub which is nice and convenient. Besides, We All Should Be Supporting Our Local Businesses especially during these...
Read moreThis was my second time eating here and I enjoyed my meal each time. Tonight’s experience was unfortunately made sour by the gentleman who appeared to manage the whole establishment. Shortly after my husband and I sat to enjoy our dinner at 7:35 pm, tables were being stacked with chairs all around us by a woman working there. Closing time tonight was 8:00pm. We saw the manager turn away several customers at the entrance wanting to enter and place orders. He told them the place was closed. It was 7:45 at that time. At 7:50, he warned us the doors were going to be locked in 5 minutes and we needed to leave. He was very rude when I reminded him that closing was at 8:00pm. We left shortly before 8 pm.
When I worked for a restaurant and retail, we always excepted customers up until closing time. If you decide to eat at the Worcester Public Market, be warned that closing time is 15 minutes earlier than what they post. Our experience with management was very poor and unwelcoming. We have found the service and food of the individual vendors to...
Read moreSimilar to a food court, the market offers various fast food options for food. There is a pasta place with a more traditional menu as well as a burger "bah" but seating is limited and you are mostly relegated to the food court style tables on the center of the collection. The few stores that they have seem promising and once all places are open it should prove to be a destination but after visiting the Crompton Collective and general area but not a destination in and of itself. I hope the Watchusett Brewery, located within the biggest part of the market will offer food. This will lend itself to a more sit down style restaurant with their own seating and view of Kelley Square, otherwise it won't be a place to go for an evening out but more for a quick lunch bite. Parking is tough as well, but noticed there is a shuttle bus to ride, if someone wants to venture out and try that. If that is not something you want to try, there is a paid lot, otherwise, search for street parking or visit...
