Read moreThe visit was nice and layed back. The bar was clean and was ready for St. Paddy's Day with decorations.
My friend and I had a quick lunch, the waitress we had was good to be new.
My friend had a garden salad which was nearly naked because she omitted the tomatoes. I hope they think about adding cucumbers and a few shredded carrots to the small garden salad and not just iceberge lettuce, tomato, onion and croutons. She also had fries (which need to come out immediately because they got cold pretty quick and you get a lot of them) and two glasses of wine.
I had a delicious fajita bowl, although chicken and steak was offered as part of the meal I requested no meat or cheese (I follow a vegan diet) I added mushrooms and tortilla chips (I hope flour tortillas is eventually offered with the fajita bowl). The dish had yellow and red bell (or green) pepper, sauteed onions and protein of choice but that's it and it was served on a plate so I was critical of the dish's name. I also had a side of fries and a Tom Collins that came in a glass larger than a tumbler.
There wasn't many protons for the early afternoon but the crowd was mixed which is always a plus!
I notice there's a variety of martinis that's offered for $6 on Wednesdays $10 dollars regular price.
The price point: for a garden salad, a fajita bowl, 2 orders of fries, an orders of tortilla chips, added mushrooms, 2 glases of wine (merlot I think) and a Tom Collins was $50 give it take a couple of bucks.
I would return for...
Read moreThis is not a people of color friendly bar. The service is dehumanizing and there is no accountability. The management is careless, belligerent and degrading. If there was a way for me to give this zero stars, I would. After telling the waitress I was unsatisfied with my cold hot wings and uncooked calamari, I was ignored. When the manager came he told me “you’re paying for that, I saw her bring it directly from the kitchen it couldn’t have been cold”. I have worked in the service industry for several years- I was always taught that the customer was right especially when they were not greeted with hospitality. It truly amazes me that in 2022, there is still a need to go on TikTok and search for bars that are “black people friendly”. My experience at this restaurant/bar is unforgettable and unforgivable. I am posting this here to hopefully warn any Black people who are expecting anything other than discrimination. I went there for a good time, to say goodbye to a college friend as we were moving away from eachother…instead, I was ostracized, antagonized, bullied and discriminated against and forced to pay for items that I did not consume AFTER the manager removed them from my table. This was truly a defeating experience that I would not wish on anyone,...
