Mariscos El Tiburon in Blue Island is a seafood restaurant that serves more than just seafood. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with colorful decor and comfortable seating. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to answer any questions you may have about the menu. Speaking of the menu, El Tiburon has a wide variety of dishes to choose from, ranging from ceviche and shrimp cocktails to tacos. All the dishes are prepared with care and attention to detail, and the flavors are truly exceptional. My order for the evening was two asada tacos and a jamaica drink. The Jamaica was so refreshing and the tacos, the tacos, were out of this world. The asada is cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of char on the outside and tender on the inside. The seasoning is spot-on, with a perfect blend of spices that complement the meat without overpowering it. The tacos are served on soft and warm tortillas, with a generous serving of fresh cilantro and onions. What sets El Tiburon's asada tacos apart from others is the attention to detail in the preparation. The meat is cooked to order, ensuring that each taco is fresh and hot. The toppings are also fresh and flavorful, with the cilantro and onions adding a refreshing contrast to the savory meat. In terms of pricing. El Tiburon is very affordable, with dishes ranging from $10 - $20, making it an excellent option for anyone on a budget. I would highly recommend Mariscos El Tiburon to anyone looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience in Blue Island. The restaurant's excellent food, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere are sure to leave a...
Read moreI came for the seafood and drinks. I got the Miche Alegre...two beers, Miche veggies...lots of shrimp. It's like a meal and drink in one.
Instead of reg. Chips and salsa they give you ceviche and tostadas when you are seated. I would recommend bringing water to the table, too.
Ordered Empanadas de Camaron. They had a different batter than others I've had but we're still delicious. This is the only mariscos place that has brought out both the habanero and jalapeno cold salsas for me. (Not pictured bc I was focused on my Miche)
For our dinner we had the molcajete ranchero. It was more than enough to share and yes I ate meat on a Friday during lent. It was...
Read morePresentation of the shrimp and cheese empanadas was nice. Taste was horrible. I don't know if it was from freezer burn or bad oil, but we had to send it back. They took off 50% of the empanadas like they were doing us a favor. Outside of that the service was OK. I had the huachinango el patron. Flavor was great but the flesh of the fish was kinda dry. My wife had the mojarra frita. No problems with that. Great flavor and the flesh of the fish was moist as well. Great ambiance. Restaurant looks great inside. We came on karaoke night and that was fun as well. Don't think we'll be back...
