Came here for my dad’s birthday and I’m kind of disappointed. Honestly we all were. I looked at the reviews before coming here and heard about 50/50 of it being really good and really bad. All the dishes were priced way too high for some low quality dishes. The Rockefeller oysters were good, hence the name in the title of the restaurant. The tomato bisque was good, but just a tad too sweet. Everyone else’s meal was good except when my dad ordered the porterhouse steak which was $68 and definitely not worth $68. The first time he ordered it, we said medium rare. The waiter brought it to us the first time and it was completely well done. Then we sent it back and he brought it out again and it was still well done so then they had to send it back. Then for the third time, they finally brought it out to the correct way. but my dad said that it was probably one of the worst porterhouse steaks he’s ever had. Their au gratin potatoes were good, and the mushroom side was a little salty. Overall, I just wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re looking for a good steakhouse. Maybe their oysters are good but everything else not so much. I think they need to lower the price for the quality of the food. One more thing, at the end of the menu it says no sharing or else they will charge you $8 dollars which I thought was ridiculous.

So I came back from New Orleans with Rockefeller oysters on my mind. I decided to try this place with my son. We ordered the Greek salad, Rockefeller oysters, the Rockefeller platter, with Oscar topping, and a kids' meal with chicken tenders and fries. My server was Mike, and he was very pleasant. However, the food was subpar. I wasn't impressed at all. I left half of the food there. The stuffed mushrooms on the platter were disgusting. Nothing was stuffed about them. It was melted cheese on top of sausage that looks raw. The buchetti on the platter was bread overloaded with tomatoes, I think the idea of filet sliders should end. I got rid of the bread immediately. I was extremely disappointed and displeased with having my birthday meal there. No one asked if we were celebrating a special occasion or even if we wanted dessert. I wasted money and time. If the manager reads this, may I contact you so that I could at least get a salad and oysters to make me feel more at ease of blowing money on nothing. I would greatly appreciate it 🙏🏽.

It is honestly about time a place like this came to Oak lawn. Restaurant was previously there, but new owners and food is so much better! Quality food, great service, great personalities, and great location. All the staff was great every single one of them from the time I walked into the door to the time I left. We started off with a drink, the bees knees Hendricks isn’t my thing, but surprisingly good recommended by our waitress. We had two appetizer platters great price great selection more than enough for four people. We had the porterhouse 24oz steak and potato, the morning after burger, Amazing, and jalapeño lobster Mac n cheese. I will definitely get everything again. To full for dessert but will try next time.

So imma be honest here with this dinner I was shocked by the prices. They are pricey to the eye at first but once my food came the price didn't matter. So for me and father's first time here we ordered the 20oz ribeye, strip steak, the jalapeño lobster Mac and cheese, garlic mash for both steaks, salad, cream of chicken soup, and French onion soup. Ok let's begin with the soups. The cream of chicken was solid very heart warming. The French Onion soup was so good like hands down one of the best I've ever had it was it was so perfectly balanced and flavorful I was just perfect. The salad was ok the creamy garlic dressing was pretty good as well. Now getting to the meat of things the jalapeño lobster Mac and cheese was such a winner it could of been my main meal and it would made my day. But the steaks... good lord the steaks, each one was cooked the perfection, excellently seasoned and tender as all can be these steaks are fitting in my top 5 steaks I've ever had in my life. The only thing that dampens the meal slightly were the garlic mashed potatoes. Now they are not bad not in the slightest but I was expecting something smoother but that I'll admit is a personal preference for me. And must also mention out server Ken was great as well, attentive and willing to chat. But over all Rockefeller's amazed me and my father with how good everything was. This is by far a place if you want to treat yourself to great steak dinner this is the spot. Thank you for a...

Came by personal recommendation. Food and decor are very nice. My lady and I had some nice steaks there with enhancers (beware: ask what are market prices!). Their namesake dish, is uber-delicious. We were enjoying our meal and everything really was well-prepared and presented. We had a great experience....right up until the end when we saw that the server had tried to present me one version of the bill and then (very sneakily) tried to have me sign another copy of the bill with an AUTOMATIC 25% gratuity casually and discreetly tacked onto it. Reminder: It was just my GF and I.

I consider myself generous when tipping, as I have been a server and bartender before, and know what it's like to get "stiffed." on a tip, especially when you've done a good job with your guests (which our server did up until that point). So, to just sign yourself up for a 25% tip without telling me, just feels like someone reaching into my pocket and taking the money they feel they deserve.

Nick, the owner, seems to take pride in his restaurant and is not above chipping in and serving guests as needed to help his servers and take care of things as needed The owner actually saw that we had just gotten our oysters on the half shell and were glancing around. Without saying anything he knew we needed Tabasco (not just hot sauce, Tabasco) and brought it over.

Overall, it was great and we will probably...
