Russo's Pizza — Restaurant in Worth Township

Had a lot of bad pizza since covid started, surprisingly from formerly great places. Decided to check out this one because of the nostalgic look of their sign. Was greeted warmly and not rudely rushed into deciding my order. They handed me the tv remote and told me to put on whatever I want. When the pizza arrived, it was one of those times you can "just tell by looking at it" how great it was going to be: generous fresh tasting sausage.....tasty slightly chunky-which is a good thing- sauce.....Extra (and boy, was it ever) thin crust. MOST PLACES WILL NOT LISTEN TO A CUSTOMER with this request and will make it a hand tossed, which to me, seems like spite..... And finally, Russo's were magically able to have a nice brownish topping to the cheese without it getting hard. Easily an 11 outta 10 pizza. I walked up to the counter to get a water, and observed a slower pace at building the pizza, as opposed to the haphazard don't care attitude at other places. Decided to order a chicken Parm sandwich to go so I could add on this review. WOW. I estimated it to be a 9" for ONLY around 6 bucks?!?! AND it was GOOD?!?! The other sandwiches are also reasonably priced. The only drawback to this place is that it's not in a beautiful fancy restaurant building with lots of tables and a parking lot that can accommodate the steady parade of nonstop customers these cooks deserve. I will be back once a week...

Russo's may have just take the 2nd best pizza spot for me. I wish I found them sooner. This is a solid thin crust pizza spot. I think next time I'll see if they can make it extra thin, it was a little thick for me. As you read this know I am very picky and prefer a very thin crackery crust. Just about anyone that likes thin crust will be completely satisfied with this. This is a must try spot in the Chicago area. So I decided to have pizza for dinner. I googled the nearest pizza place. I saw Russo's on the list. So I checked out there website for pizza sizes. I was blown away that they had an 20" pizza at a reasonable price. I called and ordered and I went to Russo's Pizza. I picked up the pizza and brought it home. My son recognized the pizza box, his school used to order pizza from Russo's all the time. This pizza is the best pizza I have ever eaten.
