Susu's Dream Cakes — Restaurant in Worth Township

This seems like such a great spot and I'm really happy that will be stopped by driving up through Chicago on a road trip.

The woman that worked at the counter did not seem too friendly, but there was a man with glasses there that was friendly to my kids and talk to us about how the bakery had been there for a while, but the restaurant portion was not as well known, which is a shame because their food was delicious and the whole place was very instagrammable.

I'm really happy that we were able to enjoy a few of the things I wanted to before went back on the road. Although I had a long list of places that I wanted to try well in Chicago, I still ordered a few things including the quesadilla (with the chicken on the side because my kid doesn't always eat it with chicken), the flauta dinner option, the empanadas and the quesabirria. Coming from Texas, I'm glad they got the quesabirria right! Literally everything was so good, especially the green sauce, which I want to say was like a chimmichurri.

The inside of the place was so cute and I'm surprised that there aren't more people there, although we might have just come at an odd time. I am only in Chicago for a couple of days and I'm planning on going again, that's how much I liked it! Would love to try their...

Susu has done the cakes for my three daughters birthdays, special occasions, holidays almost 8 years now! I don’t even know where to get started! I’ve been to many bakeries in lots of areas but have found them to be lacking in something; price, taste, or overall attention to detail. In my experience with Susu I can say that she can deliver all three of those very important aspects that any customer is looking for! I will always be confident bringing Susus with me because I know that just as it is beautiful it is DELICIOUS! Their attention to detail and taste is something that will always keep us around! My girls know the difference of a Susu’s Dream Cakes cake and a lacking cake from another bakery. What an amazing find! My wife got one of the too good to go surprise bags from here as we’ve been trying to explore more of local restaurants. The 5 pastries we got were perfectly packaged and looked so delicious. We had been out enjoying the weather and found ourselves also very much in the mood for dinner but had to swing by for our sweet treats package. Anyway, we quickly realized this place had tacos, burritos, empanadas, and more so decided to knock out dinner here.

Best decision of the day! Portions were enough to take some home and every single bite was nothing less than a flavorful fiesta in my mouth. It also tasted like my family’s cooking and not some sub par version of what others think is Hispanic food.

This place is great! Can’t wait to bring my Mother here when she comes to visit this summer.
