Kohl's Frozen Custard & Kitchen — Restaurant in Wrightsville Beach

Custard was good but the older woman and gentleman that were working could benefit from a review in customer service skills. I ordered my children two chocolate vanilla split cones, then was told they could have any topping on them. When my daughter picked the oreo for a topping the woman at the register said she should get the cookies and cream flavor instead. I didn't know there was such a flavor and so decided she would get that but then I was told "well we already started making the twist." Then the gentleman comes put with a plain vanilla cone. Said we ordered twist and he actually said no, it was vanilla. Who treats customers like that?! Then he remade the cone to twist. After that I ordered a Sundae with twist ice cream. He made the sundae and handed it to me and it was all vanilla. I said, is this twist? He said no. I said "I ordered twist". He then proceeded to roll his eyes at me. At this point I said forget it and just ate the sundae. I will never go to this establishment again and I will be sure to never recommend this place. I had a Hamburger and Sweet Tea for lunch today at Kohl's. They were both delicious! I had the hamburger 'The Works' minus cheese. It had ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onions on it.

It was a much bigger burger than I expected. When I realized that my initial plan was to eat half of it and save half of it for the remainder of my bike ride. That didn't happen! It was so good I couldn't resist eating it all.

The sweet tea was great, too. I believe that they have unsweet, too, if you prefer.

I had almost finished eating it when the thought of taking a photo came to me. Excuse the dirty fingernails - I had been working on the bike and my bike rack. Don't do as I did...wash your hands before eating. : )

This is the best custard I have ever tried. The owners are also super nice good people. Kohl’s is located at Wrightsville Beach next to Trolley Stop. They have a very nice outdoor seating area. There are monthly special flavors including one called Pomeranian Pound cake(see pictures). It is great but I may be bias on that flavor. All of the flavors are awesome. The person that makes the custard here is very talented and has an amazing ability to create delicious flavors. If a flavor is called something like Twix or rice crispy treat for examples it will taste exactly like you are eating a Twix or rice crispy treat. The sundaes with hot fudge or caramel are delicious.
