Today’s lunch takes us to Wyckoff at this establishment voted for best Thai 🇹🇭 cuisine in best of Bergen 2 consecutive years (2021/2022). Wyckoff Thai is a small place off of a busy Franklin Avenue. Their parking lot is small and could be problematic depending the time of day. Luckily I made it before the noon rush as the restaurant began to fill up quickly and got a table right away. The menu is fairly limited but shows care in the choice of offerings with number of vegetarian or meat options. For starter, I wanted to try their Summer Roll (vermicelli noodle, tofu and vegetable wrapped in softened rice paper with peanut sauce). For the main entree, I’ve decided on their lunch special served with soup or salad. I opted for Pad See Ew (flat rice noodles stir-fried with egg, Chinese broccoli in sweet soy sauce) and Tom Yum Chicken soup (Thai style hot and sour soup spiced with lemongrass, lime leaves, lime juice, chili, mushrooms, scallions and cilantro). The spring rolls were fresh, delicious and tasty especially with the accompanying peanut sauce. The soup and entree were very authentically made with the best ingredients and served hot. Service was friendly, quick and efficient, portions were right and price reasonable. Don't let the size fool you. What this place lacks in space is more than made up for by good service and tasty food which I can...

Delicious fresh Thai with nice rangy menu, fair pricing, warm cozy atmosphere. I would have given 5 full stats if the crispy Duck dishes we ordered hadn't been overcooked in parts to the point of the flesh of the duck itself being crispy like a taco chip. A perfectly cooked "crispy duck" has a crispy skin, but not crispy flesh. I gather after the initial roasting and deboning the duck was cooked in a deep fryer, and not oven reheated. Or perhaps the duck was deep fried prior to deboning...

In any case both duck servings - one slightly sweet tamarind prep and the other in spicy chili sauce with Thai basil and assorted vegetables were very tasty.

Next time we'll try a seafood curry and a noodle dish, without duck.

I came back for a 2nd visit and decided to upgrade my star rating from 4 to 5 stars. Not that all our meal was perfect, but my summer roll, the non fried one with tofu, shredded lettuce, carrots and silver bean thread noodles was so elegant and texturally perfect, and tasty with it's rich, spicy peanut dipping sauce, and my main course of salmon, a generous filet perfectly cooked with a lovely balanced green onion and ginger laced sauce, littered with steamed vegetables was perfect. Considering the reasonably priced and warm yet efficient service in the midst of a packed house on Friday night, I think the 5 stars rating is...

A really cozy spot with indoor and outdoor dining. Made me feel like I was sitting at home. They have a little under ten parking spots outside if I recall. I feel like I was lucky with parking before it got packed, so I recommend planning parking beforehand.

Welcoming and attentive staff. They kept my water topped up and came by a couple times to check on my table to see if everything was okay. Unnecessary plates were removed from the table regularly and our table was kept clean.

I ordered the spicy duck curry. The only reason I took a point off was the duck. Don't get me wrong; the duck was well seasoned and still good, but it was on the border of being dry. The curry as a whole mixed flavors very well: spicy, sweet, savory, sour. The texture differences were great too: crispy duck, crisp vegetables, and soft pineapple.

The squid and shrimp salad is a must have. The squid is wonderfully cut and prepared. The sauce/dressing was amazing. I expected it to be too spicy for me but it was just right. And apples in the salad also threw me off. It was refreshing 10/10 salad.

The portions are surprisingly large and everything was fairly...

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE! Refused to be served by management because we had a service animal. We called the Wyckoff Police and after some discussion they informed the management that we should be served and management agreed. As soon as the police departed - management again came to the table and said we don't believe you and continued the no serve game. Absolutely unacceptable - very small seating area so this became a public spectacle and disrupting other diners. There is no handicap access - a parking spot directly in front of the stairs - and a handicap van access space that is not wide enough. This dog is medical equipment and not a pet! Absolutely rude staff and unreceptive to our attempts to educate them on the federal law about service dogs.
