The Angry Food Critic (Dom)The Angry Food Critic (Dom)
Well the decor and the upscale of this restaurant is nice I can’t see the same for the food very disappointed with lukewarm soup salad barely had anything on it and the dressing was terrible the sprite we had gotten taste like bleach no joke. It literally was still burning my mouth after i had shared it with my wife. She had told me to try it. On top of that the food started to taste the same way the chicken catch you seem very old and the sushi was known any better would not recommend coming here at all. I imagine all the good all the reviews from this restaurant were, another reason i was here, I’m extremely disappointed. Will not be returning, went to another sushi place and didnt taste like this, nice to know it wasnt me.

Nice local Japanese restaurant. I went for the bento box while my son opt for the 3 rolls sushi lunch. Big plus, they have lunch specials also on Sat (not limited to weekdays only). On the cheap side with a good bang for your buck. The food itself was good, but not amazing. Would stop by again if I'm in the area, but won't do an effort to drive there for the restaurant alone.

Very upset ordering delivery for the first time from here. My chicken teriyaki meal looked more like a microwaveable dinner. Didn’t look like or taste like teriyaki either. I would honestly compare the taste of a Lean cuisine meal i would get out of the frozen section at a supermarket. Can’t believe I spent $20 on this:(

Updated review: BEWARE! my wife and I both have felt sick with stomach issues and running to the bathroom (causing steatorrhea or keriorrhea) about an hour after dining at Sakura, not once but on at least the last 4 visits at Sakura. We came to find out that Sakura substitutes its white fish with "Escolar" fish or also known as "Walu or butterfish", a highly inedible oily fish which makes most people sick about an hour after consuming it. This fish is banned in Japan. It resembles white tuna. Google it and you will be shocked to find out that this is becoming common practice in sushi restaurants due to a shortage of white tuna and recent high prices. After ordering Sashimi we asked them to tell us the name of each fish was on our plate and Sakura staff was not truthful with us. There are other issues and deceptive practices we noticed at Sakura which are highly questionable. In short, we intend to stay clear from Sakura.

Previous review: Great attentive staff, nice decor, love the white tablecloths, it's BYOB which is great, presentation is consistent and about the finest in the area. Selection is very good, sushi chefs here are very skilled. The waitresses are all wonderful and very attentive, they are always there to politely serve you without being annoying.. My advice, get there early between 5 and 6:30pm to avoid the crowd or there will be a...

My boyfriend & I had stopped by for dinner & as we were greeted by our waitress, she was extremely rude. When she came up to ask for our order, my boyfriend asked for a sweetened green tea (the menu states that they have that) & she immediately cut him off & with the worst attitude, said that they only have unsweetened. He then asked for a coke instead but she simply brought him the unsweetened tea. Like seriously? Then as more customers started arriving, she was nicer to everyone & listened to their orders very carefully. For us on the other hand, she simply stopped paying attention to us. She would also stand across the room with another waitress & we could obviously tell they were talking about us. Pointing & laughing. It was an extremely uncomfortable environment to be in. My boyfriend & I were never rude to her or anything, she simply just had an attitude with us from the start, which I did not...

Went to Sakura last night after not having been for a while. Used to be really good but it has gone downhill. I ordered a salmon avocado roll and it was inedible! The texture was totally off! The avocado was not ripe the rice was sparse and not warm, actually cold. The whole roll was too cold and it tasted terrible!! When I told the waitress she offered nothing but to say we serve fresh ingredients and our customers are happy. Well I consider myself savy when it comes to good Sushi. This tasted worse than supermarket premade!!! We also had a soft shell crab appetizer that was way over coated and deep fried. No flavor. The tempura was just ok. They told us when we arrived at 8:30 that we had time to come in and eat, take your time she said. At 9:15 they were rushing us out and threw the check in front of us. At least let us finish!! Very Rude! And really very disappointed in the quality...
