Restaurante La Neta — Restaurant in Wylie

What an amazing find! This hidden gem in Wylie is just what I needed to satisfy my Mexican food craving. The other half had the carne asada platillo and I tried the bistec sope, rajas taco, and pollo taco. The food came with a green and red salsa - I couldn’t pick a favorite. They were both good! Everything was delicious. The meat was cut thin and fine without traces of gristle. Just yummy delicious flavor! I followed up dinner with horchata which was tasty (not water downed) and generous. My ONLY wish would be the option to at least purchase some chips and salsa because that is usually one of my favorite parts of the meal. Other than that, everything was perfection! We went to La Neta’s with a large group of people. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They talked to us as if we’d gone there many times and made us feel welcome. The restaurant was very clean and had plenty of room for our group. I ordered the chicken enchilada plate with Green sauce and my husband ordered the beef burrito. When I got my order I couldn’t believe there were 4 enchiladas! They were cooked perfectly- the chicken was juicy and savoury and the rice and beans were both fabulous. Sooo good. It’s nice to have a real Mexican restaurant in the area. I mean, I love Tex mex too, but real Mexican is harder to come by around here. We went for lunch and when we asked for a recommendation the cashier asked us how hungry we were. We said “very!” and she said to split the Torta Cubana. We just went with it, and I’m so glad we did. It was just amazing. So huge, I couldn’t even finish my half of the sandwich and gave the rest to my husband. We got some flan to try too, and it was the best I’ve ever had.
