Absolutely Wonderful Experience in Every Sense of the Word! This was my first visit to the Landon Winery in Downtown Wylie and I was super impressed! I was there with 2 of my closest friends and they loved the experience, which is even more impressive considering my friend's wife is a culinary expert and chef! We loved the atmosphere and how Landon Winery has restored the character and the integrity of the old building. It was warm and inviting and comfortable. We really enjoyed the wine selections and were all in agreement that our favorite was the Texas Red Blend. They were all excellent, but this one stood out. I think what made our experience so amazing was our server, Lydia! She was so friendly and pleasant and had an excellent knowledge of all the wines. Again, my friend's wife is a chef with training and an education of wines and she instantly bonded with Lydia. I live local and have been here countless time - mainly for half price Wednesdays but also many weekends and other weeknights. The service is always exceptional! Everyone recognizes and gets to know returning customers and treats new customers the same. It’s nice to see familiar faces with each visit and people who remember not just you, but your preferred wine! We’re members of not just one but two of their wine clubs and enjoy the selection and new wines throughout the year. You can bring i. your own food from home or other restaurants but they also have a kitchen and serve food. We LOVE the Texan board, but it serves like 6 people lol so we try not to order it too often when it’s just the two of us. It’s a charcuterie board that spans the entire table.
