Update!!! Normally they cook good food but today which i stopped in to get some breakfast before work and well i purchased 3 egg and cheese tacos and A meat taco plate and the first and second cheese taco i took a bite out of which you can see in the picture a big egg shell there is nothing like taking a bite of a egg and eating a big shell there at least a half a egg shell in it i called in to tell them about it and i spoke to someone don't know the name of the manager maybe I don't know, but she acted like I was bothering them it's very like ok whatever. But then I get off the phone and start to eat my meat taco plate 6 bites in and guess what was in it? More egg shells!!!! And well, it pissed me off. Ruined that meal for the day now I'm still tasting shells in my mouth and you can see the pictures I should have got a better picture of the meat taco plate but they don't scramble the egg well enough and it's has the white still in it and you would not have seen it so I had to separate it to get a clearer picture. They refunded my meal but I will no longer go back there it was like no empathy was given hey we refund your money but no sorry no apologie that was meaningful me and my family had purchased there before. You seen my face. I'm a regular apologies with some empathy. Yeah, last time they lost a good customer thr first meal I understand a mistake but when I ate through the taco plate and it was in there too that was it. They refunded my money, but still no accountability was taken, and I even texted the pictures to them, and in the text, no apologies from them. " " If they would have left the response which they just deleted it. It did not sound like that was empathy? Or they care about their service and the customers that come there. It's like whatever don't come back." Mind you, i was respectful. And I've never been rude to them anytime i have been there. When i called, I was upset that it happened in the first place and how they responded. If you understand, i was respectful when i called the first time. The second time I called back after eating the taco plate with more shells I was still respectful, I told them to be respectful of what you cook, what if that taco plate or tacos was for a child, not me then they would of said the same thing. Yeah, there are other restaurants in the area that will do better. So I took the other star away from them because of the response. (They took down their response just as I was updating the review to remove the other stars , which basicly said we are sorry about your experience and your not coming back. or something like that) Next time, do better. You never know what a customer is going through. Be kind be nice be professional.

Edit: if you are aware of the issue with the coin machines for kids being broken… why would you not contact the vendor? You have a sign above saying you’re not responsible, why have machines that don’t work? You must be aware they take the money with no prize due to your sign. Food is good, kiddo was SUPER disappointed that her change was taken We just moved to the area and were looking for a spot where it would feel like “home”. There’s other Mexican restaurants in the area but none like this! This gives Dallas vibes in the best way, going to the bazaar and eating FRESH food and drinks. The portions are great. My husband (not hispanic but a quesadilla connoisseur) said these were the best quesadillas ever. The trompo is rich with flavor. The fajita tacos get a 7/10 for me, I felt the meat could’ve been a bit different but with the salsa y onions asada it’s great. They even serve the tacos with radishes. My 4 year old LOVED the rice and borracho beans. The beans tasted like what we had growing up with the hot dog or sausage in it. The margaritas are great! They offered tajin and chamoy around the rim. We didn’t try it this time but they offer different desserts as well. For the price we spent about $35 but this included a side of fries and a margarita. We can’t wait to go back!

After church we needed our authentic Mexican flavor fix so we drove to the top place in North Texas, Mijas. When we visited, we had the tradition menudo with bread ( in this part of Texas they like to give you tortillas instead of bread with menudo). My oldest had tacos ( in this part of Texas they sell them individually), my other son had a burrito with egg and beans while my little white Rhino had scramble egg. As usual, the flavor was great. The menudo needed a bit more of a kick so I added some of the red sauce given to me. I also ordered a barbacoa sope which was A+. The menudo has always needed more meat and corn but oh well. If you come from El Paso, most of the Mexican food here is below average but Mijas gives you the flavor, inexpensive price and quick service. Our meals average 50 with tip. 2 Thumbs Up when in North Texas Just remember that parking can be an issue and don't blink or you'll pass the place.

My first time visiting at dinner time and unfortunately I will not be back. It was a big disappointment considering the 4.3 stars. I have to assume all of the reviews might not be real. I ordered the Barbados burrito and my wife got the beef burrito supreme. Both with....French fries....? Could have substituted beans and rice though. We also ordered chips and salsa. There were 6 empty tables but not one of them were clean. We had to ask to clean one off. The staff was nice but they cleaned off one table for us and went back behind the counter. Didn't clean any more until much later. The music was just too loud too. Issues: First, they brought out the chips and salsa. The salsa is green (verde I guess). I have been to countless Mexican restaurants and I have never seen that. The green "salsa" was very bitter and not good on chips. No heat, no real flavor, just sour. Second, the burritos are wrapped in aluminum foil which made them very hard to eat because they were practically falling out of it. Third, the beef (they don't offer ground beef) burrito had no flavor. It was very bland. Fourth, the french fries were greasy, flimsy and not appetizing. Fifth, the "hot sauces" were just hot, not what I would call flavorful. Sixth, I forgot to mention that they don't have a soft drink fountain. All sodas are in a can or bottle. And it is $1.89 for a 12oz coke in a can!... and no refills. Very disappointed for my...
