We were highly disappointed in our trip to Yonx for many reasons. We stepped inside the restaurant 11:30 Sunday. Not very busy. No signs to indicate if you take a seat, order at the counter, etc. We went to the counter we were not greeted until a gentleman came to take our order. We ordered two soups as appetizers and two of the combos with cheese pizza/salad. We sat down and we waited. We waited some more. Mind you the whole bar was taken up with a cocktail tasting. So no seats at the bar and inadequate staff due to the tasting. Observing people being served cocktails one a time when we can’t even get our order is not a good look. The members of staff that were working did not appear to work efficiently and know what roles they were to serve in without overlapping their duties. We waited some more and then one soup was served to me. We ordered two soups. The waitress apologized and then we waited some more. Then another staff member came to apologize and we waited some more. Mind you Im now eating my soup or it will go cold and why would the other person Im with need or want to wait on their soup? Also, I don’t understand why it would take any length of time to bring out a second soup. But we waited some more. A gentleman at the bar that ordered AFTER us was now being served his food. Then eventually a slice of pizza was brought out. One slice of pizza. Still no soup. So at this point after having waited a significant amount of time for such simple items to then still be receiving things one item at a time incorrectly…. We were done. It’s one thing to be extremely slow serving people and another thing to get the order wrong and not make it right with any haste. This was not a good experience. We will not be returning. I would not recommend this place unless you want to wait an inordinate amount of time for something...
Read moreFirst time stopping into this place and needless to say I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT to ANYONE!!!! The food was BEYOND AMAZING, phenomenal atmosphere (not a lot of places do a good job balancing the volume of the music with maintaining the ability to hold a conversation at your table) and the service was FANTASTIC!!!! We walked in hungry and left in wheelbarrows! We ordered the 14 inch cheese for our boys who both had 3 slices a piece and were stuffed (8 and 12yo), I ordered the Meatball and Mozzarella sandwich as well as a Cesar Salad for the side (at no extra cost!) and with this being our first time also ordered a Pizzazilla for the wife and I to share just in case the sandwich was a little small and I might have still been hungry. Needless to say the boys DEMOLISHED their pizza, I wanted nothing to do with the pizza the wife and I were going to split as I was already beyond full meaning we brought home extra but my wife LOVED the pizza as well!!!! Everything was AMAZING!!!! Greg(g) took the time to literally WALK US THROUGH the menu, explaining in great detail all aspects from the B.Y.O. Pizza to the Pizzazilla (might be butchering that one but I am almost positive that is what it was called). Greg(g) not only walked us through the entire menu, brought us our food and made OUTSTANDING adult beverages (the Strawberry Martini was MIND BLOWING as well as the Raspberry Lemonade and Blackberry Mojito), he even cleared our table and got everyone refills. His overall attitude, sense of humor and interactions made us feel as if we were regulars. He even took the time to ask OUR names as well as our boys and acknowledged us by name if and when he addressed us which again just made the whole situation seem as if we had been there a thousand times. We are LITERALLY going to revisit this Friday as the whole experience was...
Read moreLet me start by saying New York Pizza & Pints - Wylie deserved this review way before now. 🍕
This evening we ordered their bruschetta, cheese bread and famous piezilla. When my husband got home we realized we were missing the tomato mixture to the bruschetta. I called the location to see what our options were. Much to my surprise they offered to hand deliver not only the missing tomato mixture but the fresh bread that comes along with. Mind you, delivery is not currently an option with orders. Less than 30 minutes later, we were greeted by our missing item & two of the managers expressing their apologies & wanting to make it even more right the next time we stop in.
Here’s the thing, this is one of the busiest times for them at the restaurant. They could’ve easily blown us off and thought it was a small issue, but they didn’t. They truly strived to make it right by going above and beyond for the customer.
Every time we eat in house or bring home, we’re greeted by a friendly staff. My husband and I have both been offered help with taking our food to our car. Their food is incredible-by far our favorite pizza & the bruschetta is an absolute fave! These people are doing things right!
They have multiple local locations but we’re incredibly...
