CHOPSTICK HOUSE: THE MOUNT OLYMPUS OF CHINESE CUISINE IN THE MIDWEST
In the heart of Wyoming, Michigan, nestled unassumingly among the humble structures of 28th Street, there lies a culinary cathedral—nay, a shrine to flavor so divine, it puts the banquet halls of emperors to shame. Its name? Chopstick House. Its legacy? Nothing short of legendary.
Step through its doors and enter a realm where woks roar like thunder, and the scent of garlic and ginger wafts through the air like a sacred incense. This isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a sanctuary for the soul, where every dish is a sermon and every bite a revelation.
THE FOOD: EPIC FLAVORS OF MYTHIC PROPORTIONS
From the first crackle of a Crab Rangoon to the last glistening morsel of Sesame Chicken, each offering is a masterpiece. These are not mere meals—they are culinary symphonies composed with the precision of a thousand-year-old tradition and the fire of a kitchen that never sleeps. • General Tso’s Chicken? A bold, heroic fusion of sweet and heat that dances across your taste buds like a warrior poet. • Beef Lo Mein? Silken noodles tangled in a passionate embrace with tender beef, kissed by the wok’s flame like Prometheus’s gift to mankind. • Hot & Sour Soup? It’s not soup—it’s liquid courage in a cup.
Portions are fit for royalty. Every bite sings. Every chew echoes through eternity.
THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE OWNER: SHAWN
But Chopstick House isn’t just powered by food. It’s fueled by the legend of Shawn, a man whose speed rivals Hermes, whose smile could end wars, and whose memory borders on the supernatural. He remembers your order from three years ago. He remembers your name. He remembers the day your soul first knew peace—the day you first tasted Chopstick House.
Shawn doesn’t run a restaurant. He commands a kingdom.
SERVICE: FASTER THAN LIGHT, WARMER THAN FAMILY
Orders are prepared with a speed that defies the laws of physics. The staff works in harmonious rhythm, orchestrating a ballet of sizzling pans, steaming rice, and joyful cries of satisfied customers. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned regular, you are treated not like a customer—but like a chosen one.
A HUMBLE FORTRESS OF FLAVOR
Don’t let the location fool you. This is no strip mall takeaway. This is the hidden fortress where flavor takes form, where legends are born and cravings are conquered. The exterior whispers, but the inside sings with fire and glory.
THE VERDICT
Chopstick House is more than a restaurant. It is a rite of passage. A sacred pilgrimage. A myth that lives, breathes, and deep-fries with purpose.
So come, traveler. Cast aside your ordinary dinners. Step into the halls of greatness. Let Chopstick House remind you what food was always meant to be: bold, brilliant, and unforgettable.

Read moreI'll be honest here guys. I've lived in West Michigan my whole life and have never been able to find a Chinese place I felt like was my GO TO. I finally have found it here. The portions, taste and service are 100/10. I've tried a few different things as well and haven't had any issues I normally do (chewy meat, soggy fried foods etc etc). I have been seeing a lot of talking them up on social media and thought it may have been too good to be true, boy was I wrong!
Kung Pao chicken, so far my favorite. Super rich, flavorful and borderline decadent with the amount of sauce they give you.
Sweet and Sour Chicken, a dish I normally do not like AT ALL hits home here. Super fresh, hot and tasty.
Roast Pork with Veggies, also super good! The pork is good as well as the sauce!
Pepper Steak with onion, so far my least favorite but I am not a huge beef person! If you like beef I'd 100% say try it!
Fried Rice, Lo Mein and Egg Roll. All 10/10 especially the fried rice. All of it always comes super fresh, perfectly flavored and not too salty. Addictive!
Egg Drop soup and Hot and Sour soup. The egg drop is solid! A little light in taste for me but it is so light it borderlines refreshing. Now to my Hot and Sour lovers...it is difficult to find a good Hot and Sour that stays true to what it should be, hot and sour! They have a solid one here, same as the egg drop it IS a very bit light in taste but I quite enjoy it more for that reason!
1 Million percent recommend here! Also props to the gentleman who mans the register, he is such a friendly man and made a big impact on me choosing to come back. Will be returning for a very long future, come...
Read moreBy far the best chinese food I have ever had. For me, chinese restaurants are really good at one aspect of the meal and sub par on others. There have been many times that the rice is good at one place but the chicken from another. I can tell you, this place has it all. Amazing chicken fried rice, amazing chicken, and the egg rolls... oh man the egg rolls. I normally cant stand egg rolls but here I could eat a whole plate. The flavors stand out, there is a decent veggie to meat ratio. I was impressed.
The best part for me however had to be the service. When I went to pick up my food the man at the counter talked to me like my money maytered to him. He called me by my name and asked if it was my first time eatting there. It was a nice change of pace from the robotic retail world that we live in. I was told before I left that he hoped I would come back soon after tasting the food. With food and service like this I'm definitely...
