McDonald's — Restaurant in Wyoming

If I could give zero stars I would! I went in ordered my food at the kiosk. I went to the counter to pay, where I had to wait because the manager was on his phone. He finally saw me, I paid and moved to the pickup counter. From there I watched a woman worker wearing only one glove on her right hand and none on her left grab the burger buns with her bare hand. I said she isn’t wearing a glove, I don’t want that I don’t know if her hand is clean. The manager went and said something to her and then said to me that her hands were clean. I said I don’t care she should be wearing gloves. He the proceeds to tell me she didn’t touch my food so it was ok. I said are you serious I just watched her finger the buns! Don’t talk to me like I’m stupid. I then said I wanted a refund which he started. I also asked for corporates number and he told me I could look it up. I then said ok I want your (the manager’s) name and he said we don’t give out information like that. He then gives me more change as a refund than I paid and when I told him it was to much and I didn’t want his drawer short he told me that’s how their refunds works and I was like ok have a short drawer. "all McDonald's locations are the same" - I probably could have been caught saying this several years ago, but I will never say it again. In the Grand Rapids area alone I've visited probably 12-15 McDonald's locations and they are all a little different - some have more friendly staff, some serve re-heated food from the night before, some make everything fresh right away, some have team members that smile and make eye contact, some have team members who throw your food to you out the drive-thru window and mumble "havaniceday" without ever looking at you. This 44th Street location is the best McDonald's in the area in my opinion. The food has always been fresh, the team members are usually very friendly, and the location is organized well - including an outside gazebo seating area! We have another McDonald's location closer to us than this one, but we will always opt for this specific location over the one by us as it really is just that much better.

This McDonalds is the worst, I’ve given it numerous chances since it’s so close to my house but will not be back. I’ll drive right past this one and go to the one on Gezon Pkwy which has great service. I typically only go through the drive-thru here and always have to wait at the speaker for several minutes before being greeted. This morning I sat at the speakers for 5 mins to let them know I was there for my mobile order and was never greeted, I pulled up to the pay window and sat there for a few mins and was never greeted, I pulled up to the pickup window and was greeted after a few short minutes and was told I had to go back through the line because he didn’t have my mobile order. The manager came over and said the same thing, I showed them my mobile order and still was directed to go through the drive-thru process that I already tried.
