I have Subway for lunch occasionally if nothing in the hospital cafeteria sounds good or if it’s between breakfast/lunch and lunch/dinner times when the cafeteria is closed. In years past, I’ve had okay experiences grabbing a sub for lunch from Subway. Over the past 12 months or so I’ve noticed turnover is insane. There is always someone new working and they never seem to know what to do or how to make a sandwich that is listed on their menu. I think that is a reflection of poor training, however, almost every time I grab lunch here, the employees have a poor attitude and act like they’d rather be anywhere else. It feels as though customers are an inconvenience to them; they just want to hangout in the back and play on their phones. I’ve literally stood in line and been ignored when I can see someone standing in the corner on their phone. They are rude and move at the speed of a snail. I have waited in line for 20+ minutes before, which is ridiculous and eats into a huge chunk of my lunch break. Granted, they often have just 1 person working, so I give a little more grace in those instances, but when they have 2-3 people working and it still takes 15-20 minutes with a line of maybe 2 people ahead of me, something is wrong. In addition to everything else, they are ALWAYS out of something…. Avocado, turkey, ham, etc. There is never a sign up stating they are out, so sometimes you wait in line for 15 minutes just to be told they can’t even make the sandwich that you want. Just put a sign up! Their soda fountain has also been out of commission for several months now. Again, there’s no sign on it, so you don’t know until you ask and then are told that it is still not working. This is by far the worst Subway I’ve ever been to and I can pretty much always count on having terrible service and subpar food. I don’t know who manages this place, but they do not seem to check in at all and seemingly have no idea (or just don’t care) about the extremely poor service their employees provide. I will continue to avoid this Subway unless it is my...
Read moreI usually placed an order through the Subway app maybe 2-3 hours ahead of time and the order would be ready for pickup and warm at the time I had specified on the app. Given the busy atmosphere in the cafeteria, I feel like it's much easier and reduces stress to order using the app.
Every time I place an order there was usually one worker and a sizeable line. The worker was polite, but the atmosphere in the cafeteria was really busy and usually quite loud as there were many people in it.
Pictured is the Subway Pizza, I had never gotten it before and it was really good, though I wish I had...
Read moreI've been at the hospital for 11 days now with my husband, and the entire time their card machine hasn't worked and they only take cash. One of those days, they were out of $1 bills and required EXACT change only. On day 3 I waited 25 minutes for cookies to cool before they would serve them. Then on day 9, their toaster oven broke, so only cold subs. My mother-in-law wanted a veggie sub, except they only had lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Not to mention their hours are terrible and they close at 7 which is the same time as the cafeteria.. so yeah, this subway is pretty...
