Hungry, lost and somewhere in western Virginia, I saw this Italian Garden and stopped in to eat. They bragged the chief was from Morocco, and you could tell. He had no idea how to cook anything italian. The pizza was made with "White American Cheese", the kind of stuff one would expect you buy in blocks at costco. The service was terrible! That when promoted obnoxiously to say how good I thought the food was, when a couple who was obvously on a first date or cheating on their sposes chimed in how everything was so great, the waitress gave me a snooty look and went and satdown with them, when she should have been tending the few tables she had. They didn't like to refill drinks. When I paid my bill, she brought me a to go box, but I told her I didn't want it. When after giving a huff, I explained that I was on my way to a hotel, and in the morning was leaving, I didn't want the smell of Pizza permeiating my room or SUV, she just didn't know how to take no for an answer. I suggested that if she had not brought the garlic rolls, garden salad (Very Good, HUGE) and Pizza all at the same time, I might have had room to eat more. I suggested that if she wanted, why didn't she take it home, as I had but eaten two slices and didn't hover over, or touch the remaining pie. Who knows, maybe she gave it to the cheaters to bring home to their families, what do I know. Why do I call them that, because they talked about how sad they were they couldn't be together all the time, but someday that would change and the kids would understand. I didn't need a soap opera on that night. This might be how Italian is served in Western and West Virginia, but that it was a Moroccan Arab who "Saw the entire world", showed up in the fact he had never been to Italy or used a stone oven. This place was not inexpensive either. I should have stopped off at Pilot and gotten a few slices, at least I wouldn't have had such a show or been told what to eat, when and that I was insulting the waitress by not taking anything with me. This was a...
Read moreVery easy online ordering. They sent a text confirming they had received order and was preparing it for delivery. Shortly after I received a 2nd text stating it would be a few minutes later than originally mentioned due to being very busy. (no problem, appreciate the heads up) Order actually arrived earlier than expected. As for the food, I ordered the Buffalo Shrimp and the Basket Sampler. Per their menu, the Sampler includes Chicken Tenders, jalapeno peppers, mozzarella cheese sticks, mushrooms, and onion rings. As you can see in included picture, I was missing the jalapeno peppers and onion rings. I received two hunks of cheese stick, which was actually 4, but wasnt broken apart while they frozen, so they were fried stuck together. The chicken tenders were also dropped in a fryer and I will admit, although the meat looked very dry and the batter was no longer crunchy, they actually had a decent taste. The mushrooms, while crisp on outside, had a texture I just didnt care for. The buffalo shrimp were way over cooked, except for the very large pieces and had zero buffalo seasoning. These were almost exactly the same as the Sea Best brand of frozen popcorn shrimp you can purchase in your grocers freezer section. Very liberal on providing sauces, although the lids were off 2 of my bleu cheese containers so the bag ate those instead of me. For almost 30.00 including tip, I expected more. I could have prepared every item on this order for less than 10.00 dollars after a quick visit to a walmart freezer section. Also, no receipt was provided for order, which is important when living on work per diem. High points were ease of ordering, fast delivery. Low points, low quality food, over cooked, improper packing, order not verified to be correct before sending out. I will stick with the chain pizza joints on futures hotel stays...
Read moreThis restaurant used to be really great but last time we went it was a ghost town. We were the only customers and the waitress kept coming back to the table and asking about our orders over and over, even though she wrote everything down. When she delivered the salads the dressings were wrong and she didn't offer to correct them - three salads, she put ranch on all of them even though only one person ordered ranch. When entrees were delivered, they were inconsistent; several people ordered the same thing and some received bread and others didn't. One person had so much sauce that it was dripping over the sides while another barely had any. Then there was me; my food was missing completely. There were no apologies from the kitchen or the waitress, she just said it would be out in a few minutes AFTER we had to call her back to the table and ask about it. She hadn't even realized she hadn't given somebody food...at a table of 6 in an otherwise empty restaurant. I ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes for them to make a simple plate of pasta, by which time everybody else at my table had long finished eating and were impatiently wondering what on earth was taking so long. Again, no apologies or bill adjustments like most other restaurants would have offered. The one good thing was the person who ordered the calzone was happy with his meal. I used to like this place but I don't think I'll be going back after...
