Subway — Restaurant in Wytheville

My family and I had a horrible experience with this location last night around 10pm. Encountered racial profiling and accusations of stealing. We paid for our $60 meal and come from decent family. The guy at the counter had the audacity to change up his mentality but got called out so quick. I was filling drinks and heard him say "make sure they dont steal any chips" or something along the line. I turned around asked him ehat he said and he stated "oh i wanted to make sure you all had everything " so I gave it to them. They threatened to call the police which was hilarious since they were the ones with bad attitude and negative assumptions of colored people. His statement "people come here and steal all the time" does not make it ok to assume EVERYONE does. Accusing my son of opening the fridge and grabbing a Gatorade, asking if he can get one is t stealing. Its racial profiling and stereotyping. Definitely wont be coming back here and will make sure Subway corp and mayor knows what happened here with us. I stood my ground and apologized to my kids who were standing there along with my mom that had to experience such disgusting behavior from those sad employees. I told him I already had the vibe after entering the store. YOU greet everyone who comes through. I wont tolerate this mess and theyre messing with the wrong person. Stopped by for a late lunch around 2:30 on Mothers Day and was disappointed in the condition of the store. Receipts, food and other debris was all over the floor and on some of the bench seats; the cookie display looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in a week, and the cookies looked anything but appealing; the chips were under stocked, and drink station messy with the trash bin needing to be emptied. The sandwich making area could have benefited from a basic wipe down to get rid of overflowing trash and food debris.

Three employees were behind the counter, yet only one seemed to be working, making sandwiches and ringing up customers. The store was not very busy, and anyone could have easily cleaned up the areas in 15 minutes or less.

Our sandwiches were okay, although the bread was dry and felt a bit stale. I don’t think we will eat...

Ima give them two stars because there are some nice people here, love the area also, but I would think when I walk in this store and order a sub I'm going to get the amount of meat as advertised per size of sub if I order a 6 inch sub I want 1 full size scoop as advertised and if I want a footlong id like 2 full scoops as advertised, I shoupdnt need to order extra meat to get a footlongs recomended amount of meat I should already have, then the employees are telling you my manager says cut your meat I'm trying to get raises basically telling customers there beating you out your money not giving meat as advertised I'm not coming back here !!! And with all the other subways around the country I go to any like this I will be figuring out who i need to speak to...
