This used to be the site of a closed Marathon gas station and has been turned into a local gem. There is limited seating indoors and outdoors. The inside is air-conditioned and clean with black and white tiled floors. Parking is limited to about 10-15 cars. There are bathrooms available, which are usually well maintained. The service, selection, and prices are great. It serves pulled pork sandwiches and hot dogs as well as other items for lunchtime, but its specialty is frozen treats.
Desserts include ice cream sandwiches, soft serve ice cream, 30+ flavors of hand-scooped Hershey's ice cream, floats, shakes, malts, twisters (think DQ blizzards), Dole-whip (dairy free), slushes, and sundaes. Sprinkles and eyeballs are always free add-ons. Don't forget to grab your dog a doggie bowl treat of vanilla soft serve with Milkbone dog biscuits.
If you go in the evening, you should go early. If you wait too late, the drive-thru line can wrap around the building, and the line inside can start at the door. That only shows that Xenia appreciates The Dairy Station. It usually closes sometime in October and reopens in March or April, so enjoy it in season...
Read moreWe are still talking about the fabulous service at The Dairy Station days later. Fantastic staff really made it fun. I mentioned to my wife that I'd not seen such enthusiasm from service staff in a long time. Maybe they were owners, but even still they embrace what an ice cream shop should be, FUN. On the the goods...great menu that actually includes vegan options, tons of house special sundaes, their version of a blizzard called a 'twister' and my favorite, soft serve. They serve a large menu of Hershey's hard scoop ice cream as well. We went 8pm on a Sunday and it was busy. Our local guide suggested going in and eating outside, which let us get the full experience, plus it was a bit quicker than the drive through.

Read moreThe ice cream isn't bad at all they have some pretty awesome choices however it is pretty disturbing that they don't let you sample the ice cream when you can go to other ice cream parlors and try it before you purchase they use the excuse of covid-19 have a reason why they don't allow you to sample being able to sample helps you choose and ask him that you will enjoy especially since their ice cream is not cheap I had a Coney Dog as well and it was good however it was lacking the cheese it did not have enough cheese so I had to take it home and go to Walmart and by NF cheese for the price of the Coney Dog they should be able to afford to put enough cheese on it just like if I was to go to a Skyline chili or a Dairy Queen...
