Glazed Donut Eatery — Restaurant in Xenia

I absolutely love this place and will always recommend it to whoever asks. I have never tried Maple Syrup Icing but as soon as I had a bite of it from this place, I fell in love! I ALWAYS get donuts from here for my birthday because I'd rather have Glazed than any cake, their donuts are the best sweet treat! They definitely have a wide variety from macaroons to bacon donuts, there is ALWAYS something new and exciting!

Not only do they have donuts, they also have drink options, I have yet to try any of their drinks because I'm not big on coffee but they have milk and it's always enough throughout my meal!

The pricing, to me, is very well balanced, for how good the donuts are, and the fact that they make fresh batches every single morning and make hundreds of donuts, they really do deserve the money they make.

I'd also like to talk about the staff there. Whenever I walk in, they are always working their butts off and always so happy, respectful, and delightful! They're beyond amazing at their job and the owner is very understanding as to what I've seen from the other reviews, he is always wanting to make peoples' days better and always has a solution.

For the restaurant appearance itself, it is small but it's very very cute! Not only is there inside seating, I also think I saw outside seating. The menu is very well written and bright and colorful, I can definitely read and see it. The place is also always really clean and tidy! I'd prefer a small, clean, tidy place than a slobby huge restaurant anyday!

Overall, this place is a must-visit! 10/10 taste, 10/10 appearance, 10/10 staff. Absolutely...

The owner, Clay makes some truly delicious donuts, and he clearly cares about his customers. He took the time to contact me after what was a disappointing experience so that he could get both sides of the story. The following is my original review:

We enjoyed delicious donuts on Monday while on a bike ride, so much so that we ordered a dozen for noon today (Sunday) for a get together at our home, and paid in advance so that we could have a very specific assortment. So, I show up to pick up my order and was shown a box with only 8 donuts in it, 2 of which were not what was ordered, and none of the regular glazed of which we ordered 4. Defeated the whole point of ordering ahead of time!!! Then I was given the sob story about only one person there to pack the orders. Shops should avoid excuses like that! It does nothing for me. It was also suggested that I come in 'tomorrow' to get the regular glazed. NO! I ordered them for TODAY! I suspect that a regular customer came in and got the regular glazed that were probably in my box when packed. Even though we thoroughly enjoyed the donuts we had on our first visit, we will NOT be returning! Update: We tried the donuts about 2 hours after I picked them up. They were stale already. I think they had to have been day old. For this, I changed my rating from 2 stars...

I have found the taste, appearance, variety, and quality of the donuts to be very inconsistent. Sometimes very good, but other times filled donuts have little filling or too much, look sloppy, and cake donuts are dense. Also, the bacon, although cooked, looks raw and unappetizing, and hard to bite through. It would be better if they cooked the bacon longer and crumbled it. Lastly, the parking lot is poorly lit and uneven, and presents a hazard when walking, especially in the early morning when still dark. Update: I have not reached out to owner, so they can personally make me the best donut Ive ever had. They should be striving for that quality all the time for each and every customer.
