I'd like to begin by acknowledging the initial level of service, which was satisfactory. Despite having made a reservation for 10 guests, we were seated in a separate room. The waitress promptly checked on us, which was appreciated. However, the ambiance of the room left much to be desired—it resembled more of a storage area with lamps on the side bar. The table itself was acceptable.
The ordering process for food proved to be somewhat unconventional, with items on the menu not available daily but rather reserved for weekends. Nevertheless, the drinks, which are the cornerstone of this margarita bar, were exceptional.
Regrettably, after the food arrived, the level of service noticeably declined. A pitcher of water was placed on our table with the instruction to 'pass it around,' and thereafter, there was a lack of attention to refills on drinks. The most disappointing aspect occurred when the checks were distributed. They were casually left at the bar/counter with the directive, 'your checks are up here; you can come collect them yourself.' This left a sour taste as it felt like payment was for a service that was not adequately provided.
In summary, the overall service experience was subpar and failed to meet...
Read moreMeant to post this a while ago. This our favorite Mexican restaurant in all of Yakima, not that others are not loved. My oartner, she just loves the margaritas and the staff. While much of the menu temota her she always gets the asada street tacos. I usually just get enchiladas and some extra tortillas to eat the beans and rice old school style, because they're so good. I recently had the shrimp tacos and they were also great.
Last June I held a surprise birthday party there for my partner. As soon as I mentioned it was a surprise party the staff suggested the private room that is off to the right when you come in. It was perfect, the service was great, as always, and my partner was so happy and surprised.
I also recommend their street corn and if you like extra cheesey, the Queso Fundido is also good. They have 2 salsas for the chips. One has some spice and has more flavor, too. I recommend touching it out because it definitely is tastier than the mild, which is also not bad.
We recommend Fuego...
Read moreWe seated ourselves as no one came right away once we entered. A waitress told us seat yourselves anywhere and after giving us menus came said other than water anything to drink? We ordered our drinks and never did get our waters. One of us had to order iced tea once our meal was brought out as the waitress didn't check to see how we were doing. The food orders we placed two of us didn't get what we asked. One of us traded with the other and again no one came to check on us. After awhile once our bill was brought to us, I placed a to go order, again wasn't how I ordered and probably paid extra for the waitress mistake on what was ordered. We didn't see how we had such poor service as it's wasn't busy during the afternoon time we came to eat. This was the first time for two of my friends as I recommended the place. As we left we probably will think again and go back to xochimilco where...
