JJ's Birrieria And Antojitos — Restaurant in Yakima

This place is a Hit or Miss, and after coming here a few times already this month I’m very disappointed in what I received today, my hot fries were put In a plastic container and not a styrofoam one like it’s intended. I send my fries back after telling the cashier various times to please not put my hot fries in a plastic container and that I’d like to receive them in a styrofoam container but after I get home I notice I was given a plastic container so I had to go back to the restaurant with my baby just to get even more disappointed because after I went back and thought I received the correct order this time once I get home yet again I notice that some of the fries were extremely soggy with oil so soggy I could even eat them , I’ve worked fast food and it is my assumption that my fries were just reheated which made them extremely soggy with oil, and then I feel like they also tossed old fries in with the others because they didn’t seem fresh at all just a bunch of tiny not at all hot small pieces along with my soggy oily fries. I’m so disappointed with the food that it’s almost infuriating that I paid almost $20 for what I got today, the birria tacos I got also were so dry today. I hate to give them 1 star but honestly they probably deserve it from what I got...

Me and my son went in to try It out. Upon walking in, it seemed very inviting and well lit and clean. The Lady at the front desk was very helpful. She helped us navigate the menu and helped us figure out what we wanted to get. We did it to go And only had to wait about five or six minutes for our food. we got three tacos each, and they were good sized. They weren’t burnt and there seem to be a lot of cheese and a lot of meat in each taco. It could’ve used a little more onion and cilantro..the sauce that we dipped our tacos in was a bit greasy, and the tacos were also a bit greasy, but other than that, they had good flavor and I thought they were pretty good.. The only problem that we had was that we did order to go and when we ordered, we asked for napkins and forks because I had ordered a side of rice that was way overpriced five dollars for a very small container and when we got to our car and began eating, we realized that there were no napkins or no forks and with the greasiness of the food put two and two together and you see we had a problem . I don’t know if we will be back so try at your own risk they don’t like to...

I didn’t even know the place existed! One day I just searched Birria Tacos & it popped up in my google search.

We decided on a dinner night & my husband said “we should go get you the tacos you wanted “

So glad we went! Food was more than I expected! The birria is on point . It has the perfect amount of spices , it is well balanced between the soup & meat ! The tacos are perfectly crunchy, not too soft not too hard!

I mean Im not going to lie. I have a difficult palate, it’s hard to impress my palate. And I was impressed & satisfied with this meal! The meal & the price !
