Today I stopped by at my friends new spot; The Spice Yakima new restaurant in town by 16th and summit! I want to highlight I had already a high expectation but I was surprised 11/10 āļø Let’s start with the premises! Nice clean interior with good athmosphere, music and temperature šŸ‘Œ Five star āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø on their charming customer service! Manish the general manager went above standards with every table making sure they knew details in the menu and checking if they enjoyed their food! We started with a Samosa Chaat for appetizer (no picture since I ate it before I realized I wanted to share šŸ˜‚) was delicious with fresh intense flavor! For dinner my wife and I tried : Obviously butter chicken šŸ˜ and Lamb tikka Masala both 🤤 10/10 believe me when I said AUTHENTIC flavors! The garlic naan bread 🄵 was my favorite šŸ”„ And I also had a Daal soup 🄣 I enjoyed every single bite! Anyways took some pics! Pics don’t say enough , you have to swing my and try it yourself. Well worth it! Tell Manish Vicko from Yakima Fit Foods sent you! Love to see real passionate food business pop #LoveGoodCuisine

Wow! I love to explore good food from other regions and The Spice shines a spotlight on great, fresh ingredients cooked perfectly! My son and I went and tried it. We ordered the tandoori sampler with chicken and lamb meat served with green sauce and fragrant spice sauce dip. Very good. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The lamb was flavorful but a bit dry. Lamb is very hard since it tends to be lean. But it still had very good flavor. We had lamb curry with basmati and Seafood (salmon and shrimp) Biryani with basmati. Sooo good! We added garlic naan to have with it and it was delicious. Definitely high marks to this Indian cuisine restaurant from a newbie to it. Can't wait to try some other items on the menu. And you can order from mild to medium to hot if you prefer. The curry was mild and my biryana was medium. Just the right amount of heat! šŸ‘šŸ¼

The very first thing— the moment you walk into this so-called ā€œrestaurantā€ā€” the waiter mocks you with some silly, stupid joke when you ask a serious question. He even admits himself that their ā€œbiryaniā€ isn’t actually biryani, just rice with chicken. Excuse me? Then, while ordering naan, he literally forces us to take an extra portion when we already had plenty of food on the table. In the end, that so-called ā€œnaanā€ turned out to be nothing more than frozen pita bread, and we had to throw it away. What a complete joke.

And don’t even get me started on their so-called Chicken 65. Since when does Chicken 65 come with smelly fried eggs tossed on top of it? Absolutely disgusting. Their ā€œChili Chickenā€ was just bland fried chicken with onions— not a single piece of capsicum in sight. Who even serves it like that?

The chicken biryani? A complete insult to the dish. It was clearly reheated frozen rice, lazily mixed with their base curry and topped with 4–5 tiny pieces of dry chicken breast. Everyone I know makes better biryani at home than this cheap, pathetic excuse for one. To top it all, we ordered 7 curries— but guess what? He brings us 8, without asking, and charges us for the extra! Pure scam.

And this so-called ā€œ4.8 ratingā€? What a massive mistake on my part to trust it. Clearly fake, or bought reviews, because every single other honest comment says the same thing. This is not even an Indian restaurant— every single curry tasted identical, all drowning in the same bland tomato paste. The butter chicken didn’t even have cream or kasoori methi. Seriously? Even the most basic Indian restaurants know that.

I’m genuinely shocked this place is still in business. The fact that people around here seem happy to eat this garbage is beyond me.

The only half-decent thing? The bathroom was clean. That’s it. Atmosphere was average at best, and service— well, service is supposed to be decent everywhere, so nothing to praise here.

Honestly, this was one of the most frustrating, disappointing dining experiences...

A Hidden Gem for Authentic Indian Cuisine in Yakima.

As someone who frequently enjoys authentic Indian cuisine, especially with the abundance of excellent options in Seattle and its surrounding cities, including Indian-style burgers, pizzas, and even bakeries, I wasn't expecting to find something comparable in Yakima. But while searching for a lunch spot, I came across The Spice, an Indian restaurant that had incredibly high ratings. Though I hesitated at first, the reviews convinced me to give it a try. I'm glad I did.

From the moment the food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors were on par with some of the best Indian dishes I’ve had in the Seattle area. Rich, authentic, and perfectly seasoned. The service was equally impressive, warm, attentive, and welcoming. It’s no wonder the place had a steady flow of dine-in customers and frequent pickup orders during my visit.

If you're a local craving something exotic or just passing through Yakima and in the mood for Indian food, The Spice is a must-visit. It’s the kind of place where a hungry traveler can enjoy a comforting meal and feel genuinely cared for.

Parking: Plenty of free parking exclusive to the restaurant. Service: Friendly and attentive. The staff is happy to explain the menu, so don’t hesitate to ask questions before ordering. Food: Authentic and traditional Indian cuisine with customizable spice levels. Pricing: Very reasonable, especially if you're used to...

This was my first time at this restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere warranted my time to share this review with you all. Upon entering this fine establishment, I was greeted promptly and kindly. The room was filled with tantalizing aromas igniting my desire to view their menu and order promptly. Upon seating I was served my drinks and once I found the delicious Lamb Curry with Plain Naan, they took my order and I waited a reasonable time for such a delicious meal. The environment was enjoyable as I waited, with beautiful music and a clean environment to dine in. Upon receipt of my meal, I placed the beautiful cloth napkin upon my lap and began eating. Upon my first bite, a rush of Dopamine overtook me, the food was beyond compare, served hot, fresh, paired with beautiful aromas and filled with flavors that soothed me. I highly recommend for anyone to come to this restaurant and experience the prompt and friendly service, take in the aromatic and clean environment, and embrace the experience of some of the most delicious food you could imagine. To all at The...
