1997 Cocina and Cafe located in Yakima Washington was a beautiful cafe, great vibes. This little coffee shop was packed full of customers when I went mind you it was a Saturday at 10am and peak breakfast hours. My only question is how do you like your eggs? If you’re anything like me and like your eggs easy over then you’ll love the chilaquiles. The green were my personal favorite. The green was slightly spicier than the red. The spice level on a scale of 1-5 was a 2-3 nothing crazy spicy but definitely flavorful. The crunch speaks for itself. The coffee was very sweet. I prefer my coffee on the sweeter side so this was a plus but if you like a darker flavor then maybe ask the barista for a different recommendation. They greeted me immediately and tried to answer my questions while very busy. They have a drive thru as well if you are looking to grab a coffee to go. Comment your favorite menu items, recommendations and your experience

I had planned to try this place when I saw it posted on my friends story. Nice little shop with a local feel. Tried multiple food items and coffees as well. Matcha with the strawberry foam, caramel mocha, both iced. Both good, matcha with the strawberry foam was different but good. Nice little mix. Started with the fench toast concha and the breakfast bagel. Both so good! Bagel had the jalapeño sour cream with eggs, cheese, and we got it with bacon. You forgot how something so simple can taste so good. The French toast concha was delicious too. Sweet, light toasted with the fresh fruit and light whip cream. We actually ended up trying the chilaquiles. Figured we were there already and they were the most popular item. Based on the other reviews and from the hostess told us they normally run out. Must have been my lucky day because she brought out to bowls of them (I had asked for one) wasn't even mad though. Cleaned my, and my wife's, plate. It is a small spot with limited seating but it was cleared when I went with the occasional coffee orders and some called in orders too.

Really wanted to love this place 💔 I have seen a lot of people post their food and it looks delicious but all 3 times that i have gone they say they are unable to make the chilaquiles or the french today concha. I come during the hours they day kitcheb is open but still doesn’t work. I finally tried their chilaquiles and they were great besides the chicken, the chicken was really hard to chew. The wait time just to be acknowledged was long and i don’t think I will be going back.

Hello, I would just like to make a comment to you I love your coffee, and food ,but in reality now that you are no longer there you no longer want to attend to the girls who are now, on Thursday last week we arrived at 1:40 pm and they told us that they no longer made coffee that from 1 only energy drinks and well I thought then that it closes at 1 because we go for something that we like not for what they want to sell you. It's just because it's not good that if the schedule is at 2 they don't want to sell anymore. Sorry if I'm bad, it's just an observation and we drive for an hour and fifteen minutes to reach open to...
