Waffles Caffe — Restaurant in Yakima

I can only give a one star for the coffee and hot cocoa that I paid with using pennies and nickels and dimes I left before I even had a chance to taste what their food is like so one star for the coffee that I was given and for her giving it to me. I had sat there for 41 minutes after placing my order to not get any kind of food brought to my table. but watched everybody else who came in after and ordered after me get their meals eat and leave the restaurant.as I sat there with a hungry 3 year old who was waiting on eggs a 12 year old hungry waiting on waffle and I order the chicken fired steak one egg and toast.not really a order that should have taken a lot to make 5 people total were sitting in the restaurant most had food and we're eating prior to me getting there others got their food shortly after I had that down three people walked in after me by 10 minutes placed their orders got theirfood. and I still sat with my two children waiting 4 our order that was placed at 10 a total of 41 minutes had gone by and I still have yet to receive my food got up walked out very hungry very upset and very disgusted and unimpressed so keep in mind if you go to the waffle Cafe at Meadowbrook to get your food order and be able to eat within a 41 minute window you better be a regular customer otherwise who knows how long you'll sit there before your food...

I was completely shocked a couple weeks ago when my husband and I went to breakfast at waffle Café on 72nd. We stopped going for a long time because the atmosphere was horrible. It was dirty. The food changed, it was bland, greasy and had gone downhill. This time it was absolutely amazing, the restaurant was much cleaner, the food was much better and the atmosphere was a lot more welcoming. A few days ago I went to get a gift card for a family member who use to eat there but stopped because of the lack of sanitary and food. While getting the gift card I asked the gal if there was a new owner, she said no, and I told her that we were , very surprised how welcoming and clean and how much better the food has been. I asked if they had a management change and she said yes that she was the new manager. I told her thank you for the job that she’s done making the café more welcoming again. The food is top tier the only problem i have is the servers. Theyre overstaffed and they just walk around following other servers or go back and forth between counter to counter yet im still waiting 12 minutes for my server to drop off water. We ordered the country fried steak skillet and the lady i suppose only heard the country fried steak part and when told that we ordered the other thing but its okay she didnt atleast show sympathy by throwing a fake "sorry" just put the vlame on us by claiming that wasnt what she heard, she didnt read the order back so we assumed she heard us. The last 3 times we went weve been avoided and ignored to be served for too long of a time. If u have 7 hosts and servers not doing anything but running around like chickens with their heads cut off ud expect us to atleast get drinks in the first 10 minutes of being there. We even have our orders ready because we get the same thing but always told our server would be with us but only after another 10...
