Zesty Pizza — Restaurant in Yeadon

Kudos to the cooks and the women at the counter taking orders. Food is good never had an issue with food since I've been ordering almost a year now. This alone would've deserved a 5 star rating.....Please excuse me while I become a little long winded.

Now for why I gave a 1 star review. My wife order through slice delivery this evening as we usually do. There's usually a 45 minute wait for delivery. My wife and daughter got caught up watching Disney plus and noticed that the food haven't arrived. She calls to find out when the food will be delivered and was told that it was delivered already. We never revived food. She was then told that they don't give away free food. Apparently that's a lie. Delivery guy says it was construction on the street and he had difficult time delivering. There's construction on the next street up, but not our street. Whom we presumed to be the owner of zesty pizza was extremely rude dismissive to my wife and her issue. No care or concern at all about the issue as a good business owner would be. Didn't try or want to rectify the situation. Needless to say, my wife called slice for refund and was granted it. I order from this place on average 2 times a week. Tonight I placed an order at 5.:13pm. I got caught up talking to my daughter and relized it was 6:33p and no food delivery. I called the store and the girl at the register (lashes) said it was on its way. I called back again at 6:50p she said 7 minutes. I put on my closes and as i was leaving to go to the store the delivery guy pulls up with cold food. I give it back to him and ride to the store. I told lashes my food was cold. In a monotone nonchalant voice she says the manager is not here. Lashes then leaves me standing there for 15 minutes with no update. Finally someone calls the store and she tells them I was in the store and said my food was cold. Still nochalantly speaking she tells me we can get another pizza but not the rest of the food. My family and live up the street and have always supported Zestys even when our favorite pizza place left and they came in their spot we still ordered from there. We have a huge family so needless to say we spend a lot of money every time. We ordered 7 cheese steaks (1 for each person) but one kid didn't have a sandwich. When I went to Zestys and told them this he said he would check the cameras and he let cashier know from his office that on camera we were given 7. Out of disbelief that he would even question my honesty after spending over $70, I left when he said I was wrong. He then chases me to my car to tell me that my nieces and nephews "LIED" to me I just shook my head and drove off.
