Furniture Mecca — Local services in Lansdowne

I was a loyal customer of Furniture Mecca for years. Usually I would purchase my furniture from the Overbrook location, however this time I purchased from the Baltimore Ave. location. By far the worst experience ever! I picked out at black sectional with the matching ottoman on 3/28/24 , I was told my delivery date would be 4/3/24. I received a phone call on 3/29/24 stating they have an earlier date to deliver my furniture, in which I agreed for the date 3/30/24. My furniture arrived and was set up then I realized the sectional was missing 2 big pillows for the back of the couch. Also I ordered a black sectional with matching ottoman they tried to give me the wrong ottoman color , which was brown. When I called the store the person I spoke with gave me multiple Furniture Mecca location numbers instead of directing me to a supervisor/ someone in the office. When I did call the claims department number I couldn’t get anyone on the phone and I couldn’t leave a voicemail due to their message are full. So a few days later I talk to the store salesman again and he explained to me that I will get my ottoman and two pillows delivered on 4/3/24. Wow! Due to all the frustration I just excepted that delivery date and asked if I can get some type of store credit or a percentage knocked off my furniture, I mean I didn’t finance it I brought it in cash and because I was a loyal customer why not give me a credit for next time. I was told no and that I can expect my ottoman and pillows to be delivered. I will not be returning back to any Mecca from here on out. Furniture Mecca is a scam, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM ..and this is what happened, on July 13, 2021 I purchased the Burlington recliner from Furniture Mecca which was priced at $399.00 plus $100.00 for shipping the total was $538.92 with my Synchrony credit card. A customer service lady called to say it was out of stock and I should chose another, so I chose the Bill recliner which was $349.00 and $100.00 for shipping and taxes totalling $484.23. When I contacted the synchrony bank about the fraudulent charges on my account where furniture Mecca didn't adjust the charges a difference of $54.69 was not made, as I was charged the same price for the Burlington recliner as the Bill recliner. About 7 months after, sitting in the chair and I'm not a big person, the back of the recliner just fell down thank God no one was sitting in it as we would have had serious back injuries and I threw the recliner in the trash which sadly I'm still paying off. I would advise you all NOT TO BUY FROM THIS SHADY furniture company. I will however close the account as soon as I'm done paying it off. I purchased my kids a bunkbed from them! The price was very reasonable with the mattress. I had the furniture delivered to me . The delivery time frame was from 8am-8pm. The furniture was delivered at 12 Noon. Very reasonable. However, the actually furniture was not in boxes! I don’t know why the furniture was wrapped in plastic instead of the original packages. Nor was it assembled. Usually most furniture places tell you it wont be assembled or tell you they deal with a 3rd party assembler. If it’s applicable! I attempted to call the store yesterday NO ANSWER. Its like I was calling a cell phone (maybe they had the calls forwarded) I will attempt to call again today. For an explanation on where the direction are to the bed to assemble it. Otherwise I don’t know what I am doing. Also I had to search the plastic for the screws for the bed.
