Edited 2023: The prices of everything have gone up much higher than actual inflation, but items are smaller/less. It's actually stunning how blatant the changes are. One item I'd noticed particularly was the apple dumpling that comes in a banana-boat type dish. It used to be the entire dish baked dessert, but now it's a mini apple turnover about the size of a ping-pong ball. Adding meatballs or sausage to your pasta has definitely gone up by $3, and the all-you-can-eat pasta has gone up by $3-4 since 2020. Same for adding a salad to your meal. We enjoy the pizza, pasta, and salads but they're just not worth $60 for 2 people not even including drinks. You get 2 tiny pieces of bread with your meal and have to ask for more which is just not ok in an Italian restaurant. Traditional Italian places always have a basket of bread and butter on the table which is kept full. Every single Italian place I've ever visited in 50 years. To add insult to injury, they add $2 to your take-out orders as a fee, fees just to use a credit card, and last night we discovered they've started adding a "kitchen gratuity" to their customers' bills. Hey guys, it's not a "gratuity" if it's a forced charge especially if you don't clearly inform guests (adding tiny print to a menu is a passive-aggressive irresponsible way to treat your customers). So basically they're telling you they refuse to pay their kitchen staff adequately and want you to pay for it. That was the last straw. An extra $5 charge for us just to walk in the front door. We always tip 20-25%, and even 10% on take-out orders, so being forced to pay extra charges on top of all this is really insulting. We felt unvalued, and unwelcome, so we just won't be back anymore.
2020 Review: We haven't had anything bad here. Everything has been so delicious. We've tried the tortellini, manicotti, cannelloni, ravioli, fettuccine, spaghetti, Caesar salad, fresh bread rolls, and even the pizza. It was all wonderful. One thing my husband didn't care for was the sausage. We are used to eating spicy Italian sausage (Salsiccia), and the sausage they use is different here. Their red sauce is amazing and truly made the right way. Definitely...
Read moreThis place is WAS pretty good. They do ALLOT of business and it's very busy when it's movie times. They are very accommodating and do there best to get you in, seated, ordered and food to you so you can get done before the movie you going to see begins. We been going here for quite some time nowdays; about nearly every time we go to a movie across the street we either precede or later do a pizza here. The 2nd to last time we went here there was 5 of us; 3 people paid there bill ×ith a credit card and we paid our bill with a debit card. Our family who paid with a credit card got knocked with a Stupid fee of a couple dallers. We thought it a little strange; but ok.. This last time we went although the pizza we got was good as usual; there was 4 people, 2 of my kids , my wife and I and when we got done we got our bill and there was some type if "sheffs fee" on our bill. Looking it up we see that businesses starting toward a MANDITORY extra fee on your bill and not calling it a tip. This pisses me off!!! I circled it, made a line down to the tip line by my total amount and wrote," HERE IS YOUR TIP!". this place is starting to get bad with "extra charges" not sure how much more we will continue going here! We returned again de ember 2023 My wife snd I plus our two children and we met a couple there; they paid THAIR bill, we paid our own. Wife and children had a pizza and I had a calzone. They had sodas and lenonade;I just had water and they ordered an appitizer of some bread. I was APPALLED that our bill was over $70. Counting there stupid kitchen fee. My calzone was messy and wet. There pizza looked greasy. I don't feel our visit was worth over $70. I am done with this place not...
Read moreSo the only reason I give it a star is because the waitresses were very nice. Aside from that, overall it was pretty disappointing.
The bruschetta was unlike anything I had ever had, and not really in a good way. Now I understand that the definition of bruschetta varies with just about every italian restaurant, but this was something else. Bread with tomatoes and cheeze. And that's pretty much it.
My salad was nothing more than a plate of lettuce, black olives and cheeze. I asked for extra italian dressing and that turned out to look more like dirty water.
The alfredo sauce we got to dip the garlic bread in was basically flavorless. It was like just a white creamy substance. Definately not alfredo sauce. Even storebought would have been an improvement over that stuff.
And the pizza. We asked for pesto instead of red sauce. My wife has this thing about tomatoes. So anyway in most italian restaurants that is pretty common. Not here. They looked at us like we had a third eye or something. So it came to the table and I guess since they had never made pizza like that before, it was disappointing to say the least.
And the nail in the coffin was the fact that it was all still on our check, even though we had expressed our disappointment with it all.
So lesson learned. Won't be going back here again. Which is unfortunate because there aren't too many options for itanian food...
