Seasurf Fish Co. — Restaurant in Yorba Linda

We have been wantimg to try this place for awhile. We finally had a chance a couple of weeks ago and so glad we did.

The service is fast and friendly. We did take out and the food was packed wonderfully.

We ordered the following:

Shrimp Pasta: I think this is my favorite dish. It has a kick to it and is very flavorful with garlic and spices.

Lobster roll: this is my second favorite. It is well worth the money with the amount of lobster you get. It taste fresh and theor sauce is not overwhelming. I live the way they packed it. They put everything on the side so you don't end up with a soggy mess when you get home.

Clam chowder: the flavor is definitely there but a little too thick. I just thin it out with a little chicken broth.

Lobster pasta: good amount of lobster and has a tomato base sauce. Its ok. I prefer the shrimp pasta more

Poke nachos: great snack and is very flavorful and refreshing. I definitely can eat this as a main course.

Oyster po boy: a must have. I love fried oysters and this did not disappoint.

Oysters: great oysters and very refreshing. Don't judge the size, they have great oysters like kumamotos. Get them for $1 a piece...

AVOID THIS PLACE!! I ordered the blackened fish burrito and it was Hands down one of the WORST burritos I’ve ever had in my life. It barely had any filling and literally tasted like nothing. They advertised that there is cheese, avocado and aioli in it and all they put was rice, black beans, 5 cubes of tomato and literally 5 strands of some soggy lettuce. Rice wasn’t seasoned, beans tasted like water and the amount of tomato/lettuce was a complete joke. And the “blackened” fish was literally the size a fish you put in a small taco. I cut the burrito in half and the fish on each side of the burrito was as small as the lip end of the plastic spoon they provided.

…I don’t even want to get into the clam chowder but holy moly, first of all it was absolutely flavorless/had zero seasoning, second of all the consistency of it was like doughy mush and didn’t contain any clams.

I literally took one bite of the burrito and threw it away. Same with the nasty chowder. Pictures provided with this review. I never leave reviews but oh man….count me out for ever ordering from this place....

Understaffed today. Only one guy was working the register, taking to-go orders, and servicing the patio guests. Our 3-item "ready in 15 mins" to-go order placed at the restaurant (not thru an app) took almost 50 minutes. Would have preferred being told up front that they were taking 30-40 minutes or longer. They have a "now hiring" sign on the window so it appears that they just don't have enough staff to schedule. To his credit, though, the employee had a great attitude and was very pleasant in spite of juggling as many responsibilities and guests as he had. As for the food: my son liked the Lobster Simple Roll very much. The classic Fish and Chips was very good; doesn't travel too well but still good taste, good quality. Would be much better eaten hot and fresh at the restaurant. The Southern Fish Fry was a really nice surprise; great texture and taste and traveled well as a to-go item. Definitely ordering...
