I came here to pick up food for lunch for my work. It was around 12 o’clock. Let’s just say this was the first and last time I will ever spend money at this establishment. My bill was just about $70 for four people. I am not exaggerating when I say that there was a problem with everything we received. For starters, we got a cup of crab soup, that came freezing cold. And let’s just say the portion size was extremely disappointing for nine dollars. We also ordered a cheeseburger with everything on it, and all we got was a burger, slice of cheese, on a bun, no toppings. We also received a crab pretzel that tasted and had the texture of a frozen Meal that was overcooked in the microwave. It had overcooked cheese on top and was absolutely awful. We also ordered a pit beef sandwich that was to say the least. My coworker said that this tasted like steak smothered and barbecue. We also ordered a side of waffle fries that were cold and soggy. And the skillet mac & cheese that we ordered was hard, cold, and really just tasted like buttered noodles with bacon on top. Let’s just say for $70, I should have just went to Texas roadhouse. Aside from the food, the service was absolutely disappointing as well. I walk in, remember this was my first time coming to this location to pick up an order or eat in general, I walked into the bar side, not knowing I walked into the wrong section. I stood and waited for about two minutes, and there was no one in site. No hostess, no bartender, no waitress, it quite literally looked like a ghost town. Then all of a sudden I saw someone come out from a doorway and I assumed they worked there. informed the worker I was there to pick up a pick up order, which he then informed me that I had to go around the corner to the other Side of the restaurant. I will say for a first time person coming to this restaurant. It is very unwelcoming and confusing. On the door it states, smoke room, so you don’t assume that there’s a restaurant when you walk in the door. So I did as I was instructed and went through the doors that were labeled smoke room. I walked through and again, I was met with a Ghost Town. I saw one customer at a table, and that was it. There was a host stand, but no one was there. There was a counter area and no one was standing behind there either. No waitresses, no buses, absolutely no one that could help me. I seen two bags of food, sitting on a random table, no hot plate, Not put behind a counter, just absolutely open for anyone to grab and walk away with. So as I look back now, I’m not surprised that our food was freezing cold. Also, I was informed it would take 20 minutes to get our food ready. I showed up within 18 minutes. Our food was already Prepared, which makes sense because it tasted and seemed like all of our food was made in a microwave. After 5 to 10 minutes of waiting for anyone to come out, a worker finally came from behind a random door, no high, no how are you, how may I help you, I had to tell them I was here for a pick up order, she never asked for my name, my phone number or anything. Just grabbed the two random bags on an empty table. She told me my total and I paid. No have a good day. Hope you enjoy. Just took my money and then walked away. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would have. For $70 for lunch, I am extremely disappointed in what I received in return. We all felt as though we were given a microwave dinner. as I read some of the other reviews, I guess this place only put their efforts into dinner time. Because lunch was an absolute disaster. I thought that getting food earlier in the day would mean everything was fresher, but we might have been served food that was left over from the prior days. I cannot stress how disappointed and how awful my experience was...
Read moreI ordered the Grilled Seafood Combo Salad, which included boneless chicken, shrimp, and crab lumps on grilled romaine with assorted cheeses and garlic bread.
The first few bites of the shrimp and crab with cheese were delicious. Then I got to the chicken strips which were so hard and dry I could barely cut them. I tried to eat a piece and it was tasteless and impossible to chew. I immediately told the waiter, but since I was in a hurry, I told him I would eat what was good, but he should make the kitchen aware of the problem.
The waiter never came back to check on this, nor did I get any sort of visit from the manager to ask about the problem with the chicken. At the end of the meal, I had amassed quite a pile of chicken. (I regret I didn't take a photo.) I told the waiter he needed to take it back to the kitchen so that they could see what they served. I fully expected for the waiter to come back with the manager, an apology, and a discount on the bill.
Instead, the waiter returned with a bill for the full amount! I told the waiter that this was unacceptable, and he stated he would talk to the manager. I figured maybe now the manager would come back with an apology. Instead, the waiter came back with a 20% reduction on the salad. And no manager. Note: The restaurant was not busy.
I told the waiter to go get the manager. Finally, the manager came out. I asked if he had looked at the chicken I sent back to the kitchen. He said he had not. He felt that 20% off was fair. (The inedible chicken was the largest element of the dish!) Do you think I got an apology for the inedible chicken? No. Manager felt if I really didn't like it, I should have sent it back. (Did I mention we told them we were in a rush? No time to wait for a replacement meal.)
I told the manager if he felt that 20% discount on a $22 salad was good enough, he could expect a poor review. And here it is.
When a customer complains, a decent manager shows up at the table immediately and addresses the problem. When someone sends something back to the kitchen, the manager should take a look at it. And finally, when a bad meal has been served, an apology and a discount should happen without the customer having to demand it.
PS As I am writing this review and looking at the menu, I realize my meal came without garlic bread. Why am I not surprised?
We will never visit this...
Read moreI was there recently and it wasn't my first time there so I knew what to expect, a high volume of people! No problem, they had a live cover band and the regulars were there and it was a good time! Until I got a bill for $103 dollars for 3 margaritas(upgarded to 1800 tequila), one Washington apple a modelo beer, chicken fingers and fries, prime rib dip panini. So I checked my bill and I was charged $18.50 a margarita and on the bill it said (double). I didn't order a double shot in my marg, I expected the upcharge because I got 1800 but not $18.50 a marg. So I ask my bartender and she lied straight to my face and told me that they were doubles and I told her never asked for that. She never gave me doubles she was justifying her trying to upcharge me. So after I got 3 other opinions from 3 other bartenders (some off the clock some on) I went back and told my bartender again the price was wrong. After all was said and done I got a tab for $78 (that was fine). My tab went from $103 to $77 is crazy. Oh and when I asked for a manager I was denied one completely. I still tipped my bartender. Hey David- its MELINA. And you charge $4 for triple sec and sours? I thought that came with a margarita so why upcharge for that? It's apart of the recipe has you just broke the whole recipe down for me. And also explain why the bartender told me "yes they are doubles" if they weren't. Sounds like a lack of knowledge to me but I'd love for you to explain that to...
