Restless Coffee Co — Restaurant in York Township

I visited this little corner of the world hoping to disappear into the atmosphere, but the day I ordered something different they all noticed. In fact they notice most of their customers even if they didn’t initially want to be noticed. I usually would come to work on writing poetry, reading, drawing, and meet other artist. The atmosphere carries a creative energy to it that’s unavoidable. You can see the friendship and kindness all the baristas had for each other when you wait for your drink. The latte art is a bonus and the fact that they’ve blended different teas to satisfy my strange ex-barista requests also a plus. The attention to detail is always noticeable. They wait to serve tea until it’s steeped which is a missed opportunity at most coffee bars. The food items are treated with equal care. The presentation is always beautifully served. There is a chessboard on the back table, brown leather couch, and the interior design is a modern white & black with a plant wall. The wonderful thing is that the locals love this place even though there is Starbucks across the street. It’s good to see a local business survive next to the giants. So I’m rooting for this underdog, but they stand on their own. My recommendation is to ask for the “for-here” cup and add the refillable option (a hard to find menu item) if you are planning on working or staying awhile. I walked in someone said hello from afar behind the counter, after that I stood at the register for 3 minutes a girl with blonde hair behind the counter kept looking at me but not once did she or anyone else say we will be right with you!

After my order was taken I proceeded to sit down soon as I sat down 2 ladies walked in and a lady from the back came right up to the register and was super friendly and took their order immediately. I then watched the girl who took my order walk a woman’s drink to her seating area. As I wanted to dine in and sit and drink my drink, that changed drastically as the lady called my name to come up to the counter to get my drink, I was astonished and I walked out and wrote this review because it was very disturbing to me and I am so disappointed. I try not to think my expectations will be met at 100% but I felt very out of place and not welcomed here that is the best way to put it!

I was under the assumption that this being a Christian based small business that the customer service would be on point and I would feel welcomed! Jesus said you will know them by their fruit and I will leave it there!

This place is beautiful. I chose to dine in and I'm having a wonderful time. The atmosphere is relaxed and it's so great to hear people just having a blast with convos, enjoying some very nice food! I tried the blueberry muffin and the house blend coffee and neither disappoint! The staff offered to warm the muffin which was a very nice perk!

The staff themselves are very friendly, welcoming, and really show great quality to their products for their customers. The music here is gentle and just makes for the atmosphere. Very clean, bathrooms are very well kept and the design element of the place is a lovely neutral and the furniture is designed to really help you feel very comfortable.
