Avalons — Restaurant in York

We drove to this place from Baltimore, and while in this place playing pool for hours buying drinks and paying to play pool, (paying customers remind you), at 8pm the bouncer came to us telling us to pay $10 each or get out "to stay at a party" that we have nothing to do with. But just an hour ago the owner of the place was having a meeting with all the staff complaining in front of all the customers about how she couldn't pay the bills and wasn't making any money, but yet they throw paying customers out. I asked for 5 minutes to discuss the option to stay with my friend and the bouncer said it was too late we had to go... The place was freezing cold and they have a full menu of food that we couldn't even order from because "they ran out of food"..... A whole menu, but no food ..... Very confusing and weird place. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Oh, did I mention the huge black bouncer was going to all the paying customers who were already in this place, pressing everyone for this $10, either pay me to stay or get out is what he was going to everyone saying... Now the place is empty.... Everyone that was already there left. So all that complaining the owner was doing about not making money just an hour ago pushed all the paying customers out .. seems like a crazy ass...

Great food! Tater tots were perfect 👌 Friendly barkeep kept us in tasty draft beers our whole visit. Pool tables were clean. We met Beth, the owner, who told us she was excited to have the venue back after so many years of questionable outside management. She's looking for pool players for a home bar APA team. Park out back to avoid the street parking hassle! Will be back in the future. Thanks for a fun...

I didn’t visit this place until recently, but you can tell they’ve recently renovated. The drinks are reasonably priced, the bartenders are friendly and they have karaoke Thursday-Sunday. They also have pool tables, slots, and an outdoor patio with a bar. I haven’t had the food, but was told they have a variety of egg rolls...
