I did Merchandise in the Music Industry for 12 years and this venue was always right at the top of my list of favorites and I still remember how much i enjoyed it still to this day! I was at my mothers house tonight and she was watching a special on the roots of country music, where they were showing all kinds of old footage of acts performing at all of these old venues like this great place! She asked me "what were some of my favorite places that I had been" and I immediately said this place, although I had to do a little research on the name but I was close! I told her " The Capital Strand " which was pretty dang close! After pulling up the pictures, I knew without a doubt I had the right place and that I had just gotten the name a little messed up! lol What I do remember is how great the staff was here, how great the show sounded and how beautiful it was!! Would definately recomend going here, even if you have to make a drive to see a show at this historic theater! Hopefully one day I'll be able to go back, although it is quite a drive from what use to be " Good Ole Nashville, TN " where I was born and raised, where you use to be able to jump in a car (no matter what side of town you were on) and could be on the other side in no more than 15 minutes (instead of an hour and 15 minutes) and where we use to be known for great southern hospitality as well as many other great things other than the bad! I guess all good things must come to a end, but thankfully this Venue is still going strong and hopefully it stays the way it is for many years to come! Anyways, didn't mean to write a book about our time there but people need to give credit where credit is due and I just wanted to say thanks, to not only all the staff, but also to the Community for treating us so well while we were there! Keep up the great work, hopefully this place will be around for another 100+ yesrs...

Original Review: Went to a recent show (Psychedellic Furs), which we really enjoyed. In purchasing tickets, the box office staff were very helpful & friendly. They made sure that we knew the Covid admission policies prior to purchasing the tickets. It's a small venue, which works really well as there is just not a bad seat in the house. We were only able to get balcony seating, but we had a great sight line to the stage, and we were all very happy with our views of the show. They handled the Covid verifications easily & efficiently, and everyone was very professional & courteous. We enjoyed the show more because we were not worried about potentially contracting Covid on our night out to the concert. My only complaint (& why this is a 4 star review instead of 5 stars), is that $10 for a beer or glass of wine or a mixed drink just seems out of line. Other than that, it was an enjoyable evening, and we'll plan to return for...
Read moreWORST Treatment EVER I will never go there again! I was harassed and targeted by members of the staff including the Manager, and security team for using my phone to read the QR code program that security actually provided me . I was told to not take pictures, and i showed them I am texting. They sat 4 seats down from me the whole 1st half, I scanned the QR code they gave me for the program to see how long before intermission and I was told I needed to move. I was warned not to use my phone. BUT they gave me only a digital program so I should be allowed to open said program, The manager Amanda counseled me on improper behavior and security repeatedly asked me to move to the back of the theater. I was literally sitting on my phone to show I wasn't looking at their program or texting, but now they said my voice was disturbing, I wasn't talking to anyone but them, and a few whispers to my friend about how much we liked the performance, normal...
