Terrible service! Hostile waitress!

29 Jan 2022 we arrived as a family of 5 and were the only customers. We ordered our meals and I asked for the avocado (which already came with my meal) to NOT be cut up in small pieces, so I could scoop it with a spoon for my baby. The waitress expressed understanding and left.

My meal was brought to us by a different waitress, who didn’t introduce herself but was Asian and not Hispanic, with avocado cut up. I asked if I could return the cut up avocado and just have it as one piece and explained again why, Asian waitress seemed to be very offended by my request and told me in a rather rude tone to just scoop the little pieces. I said that I requested this from the previous waitress and it wasn’t a problem and asked to speak to someone else. The Asian waitress left and came with a half of an avocado but said she will charge us 3.50. I got up and found our original waitress and told her that we seemed to have had a misunderstanding and that I don’t want to be charged an extra 3.50. She seemed to express understanding but appeared annoyed. The restaurant was setting up for a large party and got busy by this time.

Nobody came to our table to check on us throughout our meal.

Eventually we went to ask for our bill and 3.50 was charged to us for the avocado.

I spoke with the person who gave us our bill and explained the situation who curtly told us that now she will have to pay for it herself but did take the 3.50 off. I never asked for an additional avocado, just asked them to skip the step of cutting it for me when they placed it on my plate.

The tone of everyone who spoke to us was curt and unpleasant. We tipped 10 percent due to poor service, which also earned us...

Let me first say that I had tried Rosita’s through a take out order about 4 years ago and the food was pretty good. My family and I just moved back to York and my husband and I have been to eat at Rosita’s twice since Father’s Day. Both times we each ordered something different and both times all the food was terribly bland. The first time we went I asked for a side of sour cream and the waiter (only one there) acted like he had no idea what I was asking for. My husband then told him in Spanish and he brought me the tiniest amount you could possibly scoop. Tonight we asked for cheese dip and it was never brought. We looked for the waiter for the longest time and couldn’t find him. I had to get up and go looking for him. He finally brought the cheese dip a few minutes before we left. We never once got a refill and the only time he visit our table was to take our order and bring the check. No drink refills, no checking to see if we needed anything, nothing! Also, it is terrible hot in there at all times. Maybe consider repairing the AC because it was almost miserable both times...

Let me start out by saying I personally have worked a two Mexican restaurants that were in the South West. This place is right on par with the quality of Mexican food in places where Mexican restaurants have dozens of competitors and you can get Mexican food 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

They have great quality meats, spiced right and portion sizes are great. All around a great value. The tortilla chips are also not over salted which allows the customer to add their desired amount of salt. They also have salsas that are spicy but not too spicy, not some watered down stuff. They also have a well stocked bar with a variety of Tequilas.

Their customer service is AMAZING. They are very accommodating and friendly. You can tell that they have regulars and steady business. They know how to run a restaurant. Check...
