We've visited this Zaxby's several times since moving to the area, but tonight was an incredibly disappointing experience. Our order totaled $52 and some change, placed through DoorDash to avoid the hassle of driving—yet I still had to drive back to the store to have my order corrected.
When I arrived, I noticed an entirely new staff, most appearing to be between the ages of 16-18, including the manager. The atmosphere in the workspace was unprofessional, with excessive joking and playing around, and no visible discipline.
Initially, I refrained from writing this review, hoping to resolve the matter with the manager directly. However, the encounter left me even more dissatisfied. Customer service, in my opinion, means correcting mistakes and ensuring the customer leaves satisfied. Instead, the manager attempted to justify the issues. When I raised concerns about the fries being undercooked, I was told they were “just soggy” because DoorDash supposedly took too long to pick up the order—a clear fabrication, as the driver arrived early and waited for the food to be ready. Additionally, we ordered tenders tossed in sweet and spicy sauce but received plain tenders instead. The manager pointed to the receipt, claiming the order was correct as it stated “sweet and spicy sauce dip,” yet no sweet and spicy sauce, ranch, or any additional sauces were included in the bag—only barbecue.
Although the manager did remake the combos, the issues persisted. This time, my 5-piece tenders were missing coleslaw, and the fries were still undercooked. At this point, I opted not to go back inside and instead requested a refund through DoorDash, as the entire experience was beyond frustrating.
I strongly urge higher management to step in and retrain the managers and staff at this location. This level of service is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the...
Read moreToday was horrible on the inside. I am a Dasher and I was waiting patiently for the guy at the front counter to acknowledge I was there for more than ten mins. Nobody was in line to order then watched them put orders together and leave them on the counter. Come to find out that was my order. The customer's food had been there the whole time. I had to figure out which parts were for my order. The guy was too worried about these two really young girls that were waiting on their order. Tried to lie and say he didn't see me then he did not know I was there for it. I was right at the counter with a red Dasher bag. If he had spoke to me he wouldn't have had any confusion. This was when I asked him to do better about his customer service. Then a customer stoped me to try to talk to me about patience and the Bible. Not that I mind. I just don't like people who shove religion down other people's throats when they don't know the person. You are being judgemental. People need to realize nobody is perfect but do your job. Stop getting jobs to pick someone up and start doing the jobs you fuss about later there are people that would give anything for the job you are not doing. Have a blessed day people stop judging and start doing. You never know what...
Read moreWent in to get 2 finger plates closer to closing time, and we realized that was a huge mistake. Ordered food at 9:36 and at 9:57 discovered that one of their employees had given our food to someone else. This kid went outside and brought the food back in, got the food the other customer ordered, walked back out to give him that, walked back in, tried to give me the food he had given the other customer originally, and tried to say it was okay because the guy didn't open it yet. They offered to remake my food, which they made incorrectly because they had already washed the buckets they tossed the fingers in. When I approached the supervisor on duty, she explained that they just pour the sauce over the fingers I paid to have tossed in sauce. They refused to give me a refund for their poor customer service and nasty attempt at giving me food they had given to someone else. The only two people that had a clue what they were doing were the girl that was doing the drive thru and the supervisor Reece. Although she wouldn't give me a refund, she apologized profusely for the mistake. Never again Zaxby's York. I didn't think you could get worse than Lake Wylie, but this took the cake...
