China Star — Restaurant in Youngstown

My family ordered from China Star tonight and the food took over an hour and a half for delivery. We called the restaurant to ask if the food was still coming and were told it was a “large” order...and that it was out for delivery but he had to drop off other food first...not sure why qualifies as “large” but we ordered 2 soups & 2 dinners for reference. The delivery guy apparently drove with the food in his car for quite a while before he dropped it off at our house (we live 2 miles away from the restaurant — there is no reason it should have taken an hour and a half to receive it). When the food finally arrived, my husband had to go outside and flag down the delivery guy because he was lost and driving around our neighborhood despite the fact that our address is on our mailbox. The food was cold (not surprisingly). What was a surprise, however, was when I bit into my fried rice and found a piece of a pencil led in my mouth. I am pregnant and was not too excited about the thought of consuming something that could potentially hurt my fetus. How do we know it was pencil led? Well, because my husband wrote with it after I spit it out. There are a lot of Chinese restaurants in the area to choose from...if I were you, I’d choose...

The food is great. Been going there over 10 years. The plain Loméin cannot be beat by ANY other Chinese place,and the fried dumplings rock. Only East Wind at the fork of Market St and Southern Blvd was better, but they retired , sold it, and moved back home.The negative reviews I’m reading about stuff like missing green onions, delivery time, no duck sauce,not speaking English, just seem like some ppl are never satisfied in life and are reaching deep down into the Bag of Petty to pull something out. Their delivery charge is CHEAP. Try ubereats if you are unhappy about delivery time. Enjoy paying $15 to get $10 worth of food delivered, which will probably be cold. Since you’re mad you didn’t get duck sauce, maybe you should, oh, I dunno, ASK for it in advance? Go to Main Moon then. Their food is gross and see if they give a single * duck* if you complain. Or just go to McDonald’s on Raccoon Road. See how that works out. Legitimate complaints like long delivery time or misplaced orders are legit, but * no duck sauce* or * doesn’t speak English* are bogus. It’s a Chinese place. Learn Chinese if it’s that important to you. Ask for duck sauce if you need it.or should they go back after your food...

This place is disgusting.. they are absolutely terrible. When I called to tell them I had plastic in my food they gave me an attitude and told me to come up there. So I did. They have young children in there working.. I told them I wanted a full refund of my food because I choked on the piece of plastic that was in the chicken. The lady offered me 6 dollars ? After plastic was stuck in my throat. 6 dollars ? 6 ? So I did not accept and they called the cops. I literally chocked on the piece of plastic it was stuck in my throat and they offered me 6 dollars. I will never in my entire life order from this place again and I would advise everyone else to...
