Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in Yuba City

The cheeseburger and chicken pieces were good. The fries we ended up getting were terrible. My husband wanted them well done. They were limp and soggy. However the employee who took our order messed the order up anyway. My husband ordered a 2/3 pound cheeseburger combo. So when my husband went back to have it corrected, instead of crediting the incorrect order and charging the correct item, the employee charged him for a large french fry and a small drink. This resulted in an overcharge of $1.89. The employee had left and a second person waited on me, because I realized what had been done. She was familiar with the incident and instead of giving me the refund we were due, she argued with me. I had to argue with her for several minutes and show her how I arrived at that conclusion. She still didn't get it right by only giving me back $1.85. It's not the money, it's the principle. But if we as consumers allow this to happen all the time to us, can you imagine how much money these owners are making if they do that to every customer and how much money you are out of in one year. If you are going to charge $13 for a FAST FOOD meal, y'all should really provide $13 worth of product! And $13 worth of customer service! Training employees to do that is critical for franchise success! I went there yesterday and got a 5pc tender meal, opened my bag after asking for "lotsa" ketchup and there was none in there ...... Fries and tenders NEED sauce, it should be given at this point in chicken tender evolution! I had to get the kids attention and ask for some ..... Only got 5 packets! I'm like man your register isn't going come up short 5 packets of ketchup! I drove away and ate what I could before everything went un-edibly dry due to lack of sauce. I usually don't complain but when your spending sit down restaurant prices for something that should cost $7 MAX you deserve better than this, if kids want $17 to do fast food work ....... Then train them to do $17 worth of work! Stop handing them stuff, because of this careless attitude ...... Carl's Jr is off my list of places to eat. Usually this location is spot on in their orders. But the last two times I have come here they have gotten my order wrong. One day I purchased a 1/3 burger without cheese and tomatoes and they included the cheese. Another time I got a Famous Star without cheese and the cheese was included again. Normally not a problem for many people but I cannot process dairy products so I stay away from any sort of diary. Tried scrapping away the cheese but it was already melted into the meat, so I took off what I could and ate the burger. Funny thing is my receipt says no American cheese but it was included anyways. Guess there needs to be better communication between the order desk and the kitchen.

August 2023: While I was shopping I was feeling slightly not myself. I only had a piece of toast this morning before going out grocery shopping. Good thing Carl's Jr was just a block away and only one car ahead of me. So, it was a fairly quick in and out order. I always like ordering their BBQ charbroiled chicken sandwiches because of the low calories and the charbroiled...
