Hickory Ranch Steakhouse in Yucaipa is a haven that welcomes you with the enticing aroma of prime steaks sizzling on the char grill, which you smell as you exit your parking space and being the walk to the restaurant. On New Year's evening, our party of 10 was greeted by a staff that embodied hospitality - accommodating, friendly, patient, and ready to elevate our night into a memorable experience. We were thankful to have the reservation as they had same day availability for us.

We got down to business starting with appetizers, indulging in a symphony of flavors – from the savory sautéed mushrooms, a sizzling visual delight recommended by our server, to the crispy onion blossom that had a zesty savory taste that we all swore reminded us of a wonderfully fried chicken. The feta zesti and loaded potato skins rounded out our prelude, leaving our taste buds in awe.

The transition to dinner was a seamless one. Most of the table decided on medium rare filets with sides ranging from creamy mashed potatoes to sweet corn. The steaks were a testament to the restaurant – perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection, and exuding a level of detail that surpassed expectation. The HR Smokehouse and California chicken sandwich were also culinary triumphs, crafted with evident love that resonated in every bite. Toppings were piled high and flavors did not disappoint.

The meal concluded with nearly every plate scraped clean. Deciding to forgo dessert, we left with contented hearts, allowing the restaurant's diligent team to close out and ring in the New Year.

Very poor service, more akin to a questionable coffee shop than a "fine dining" steakhouse. The server stood there with the plates of food asking who ordered what. My mom's husband received my order and I had to wait 15-20 minutes for them to make another plate. Very unprofessional. The food was good but the garlic mashed potatoes were extremely salty. My sister's salad was drowning in dressing. We had to have it replaced, as it was inedible. First time here and last time.

A few hours after I wrote this review, I woke up with a terrible stomach ache and vomited out my dinner! I felt immediately better after getting that poison out of my system. I spoke to the owner a couple of days later. When I told her I got food poisoning, she did nothing but MAKE EXCUSES!! She tried to guilt me into changing my review because we are both small business owners. Pathetic!!

I seldom visit this page and meant to update my review after our conversation but forgot (if you read the review thoroughly, you would see I mentioned that). My reviews popped up a few days ago and I updated it. You are not "targeted," I'm just updating my experience. I wrote one review, this one, but thanks for the suggestion.

A professional server would know what plate to put in front of which person. The gentleman in question has dementia, which makes it even more important for the server to know who ordered what. I am hearing impaired, so I didn't hear the server announce what meal he was distributing. You once again make excuses for yourself and your establishment. Had you even remotely expressed sympathy for the food poisoning I got from the fish, this matter would have gone away. If the same manager is still there, please let her handle responses to reviews. She is much more professional...

They are the best steak place. I’ve had to be able to go to since the 80s. I’m 57 years old this place is the bomb service was on time on tap. Their tap beer was the best salad right after the tap beer no waiting they just brought it as you needed it. I was very hungry when I got there. It was such a blessing to get everything served in sequence as they did on time very reliable. They were so concerned about how you were while you were there and if you needed anything service was right there at your need Michelle great manager she followed up with the service. Told us how they run. They run a really good place. Tim and CHRISTIAN were our waiters. He was training. I believe Christian Tim was or vice versa but they were great on top of everything. This place is a great place to eat. I know we’re gonna go camping up the street at Yucaipa regional Park soon. We will definitely be stopping back in to eat our favorite meal there boy what a blessing to have someplace where you can eat a good healthy meal and it was so good. I can’t even tell you how good it was Chopped to the steak one time and it was cut through!and you’re done !there’s no messing around with the steak you don’t have to cut through 10 times and then try to chew 20 times this stuff was desirable make sure it’s on your stop if you go through Yucaipa congrats to.
